I made several of these for friends for xmas. I got the image off of my Silhouette and then just added my own design and wording inside the image. I used sticker paper to print it. Quick and easy!

Christmas 2012 cards
Another Christmas card to share today. The background trees is a stamp by Memory Box. After I stamped on my white cardstock, I embossed it with the dots embossing folder. I cut out some snowy hills for my diecut trees and deer (Tim Holtz) to stand on. The cloud is also a diecut that has been stamped with a sentiment. I'm not so sure of the makers of some of the products I used as I made them back in August. This card is a typical scene here at my home except for the bow on the deer!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Christmas 2012
I am FINALLY getting back into my craft room for a short time. We have had so much going on in our house and no time to stamp. But, I did get most of my cards mailed out this week so thought I would share a few. I did these this summer when I had spare time - knowing that Dec would be crazy! Thank goodness I did that or there would be no xmas cards this year. This was made from a Sizzix die that I found on Joann's website all summer for really cheap and decided to add one to my zillions of other dies! I knew I would make it into an ornament card in some way, and I think I did pretty well. I cut the die which is just the ornament and a round circle inside of it. I then embossed it with a SU folder. On most of the cards, I dotted the berries of the pointsettia with gold. Looks like I missed this card! I then cut a Spellbinders die scalloped oval. I embossed it in gold with a xmas sentiment and added a ribbon bow. I also embossed the sentiment inside in gold. The cardstock I used for the card is a linen cardstock which added a little more elegance to go with the ornament.
You can view the new Hero Arts 2013 catalog by clicking on the link on my sidebar for Ellen Hutson. Lots of new and wonderful stamps! Love the Flower Tag!
I hope to be back tomorrow with another card. I have so much "moving in" to do with all the new cabinets we have added to our home. Lots of rearranging and organizing to do and what a great time of year to be doing it - NOT!!!

Another baby card
Another baby card here. Brittany had a baby shower this past weekend so I made several fun cards. This is a side step dresser card. It is really much simpler than it looks - I promise! The drawers are just rectangles that have been popped up with a long piece of dimensional tape. I added a few small stamped images from SU to fill the drawers. The bottom of the dresser have been punched with MS and SU punches. The image on the left is from patterned paper that I just cut out and backed with several layers of diecuts. I also stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card.
Another day of excitement yesterday as I have been once again recognized by another of my favorites.... GRAPHIC 45 on their blog for my Nutcracker cards. They are one of my favorite manufacturers of designer papers so I was shocked and thrilled beyond belief!
We are still in the middle of chaos in our house. The cabinets have been delayed a few weeks so things are a mess everywhere. I did finally get my trees up so I am glad for that. Now I just have to try to keep Kaila from tearing them down! She is actually doing very well, so far. She has only taken one ornament off and totally destroyed it. It was a cute Santa Teddy Bear. She is better at carrying off my stuffed Santas and bears I have sitting around. Guess she thinks everything is hers.
Hope you have a great day and enjoy your crafting!

Baby Dress card
As you read this posting, I will probably be at my daughter's baby shower. This is one of several cards I made for her. I found the template last year online for the dress and have used it several times. I cut it from 2 sided DP and added a few pearls and lace to the pinafore. I stamped a simple baby verse inside by SU and it was done. Couldn't be easier and cuter!!!
I woke up to some exciting news this morning. Several of my Nutcracker cards are featured on Simon Says Stamp's blog! They were all super easy cards and tags because the work was done for me by Graphic 45. Take a moment to check it out:
Hope you have a good weekend!

Accordion 3D Flip
I got this new set of dies by Sizzix in the mail last week and MADE time to play with them. The one set makes one page with the flip shape. The other set makes the cutouts to adhere to the pages. I used scraps from my xmas stash and cutouts as well. The tree and the reindeer are Michael's felt appliques. This will fold up and fit in an envelope! How cool is that?
Enjoy your day!

Nutcracker tag
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It was just the 2 of us and of course Kaila. I have not put up my trees yet and probably won't before next week. I really get tired of all the decorations after about 3 weeks so I know putting everything up this early will drive me nuts by the time Christmas rolls around. We also have lots of major projects going on in the house so I don't want to start another mess!
So here is a tag I made a few weeks ago when I was on a ROLL! Another of my favorite paper selections...Nutcracker Sweet. I may have to go buy another pad of that stuff! Love it. Again, this is just images I cut out and popped up with dimensionals. Nothing difficult by any means! The border along the bottom was also cut from one of the papers. How simple is that!
Maybe I can get some crafting done when the workers are here! Hope so! Enjoy your week!

Nutcracker Gift Tag
Another Nutcracker project here! This is a tag I made using designs I cut from the Nutcracker Sweet - Graphic 45 papers. The images are popped up with dimensionals. I added a seam binding ribbon bow.
We are busy with house projects this week and next and maybe the next week too! Did someone say that Christmas was coming???
Have a great Thanksgiving!

Nutcracker Sweet Card
When I was "on a roll", I made 3 different Nutcracker cards! That was a fun day! So here is another one! Again, these are all papers from Graphic 45. I cut the images and popped them up with dimensionals. I addded some fancy ribbons and a few rhinestones and I was done! I do love how they all turned out and mostly because Graphic 45 does awesome papers!
Hope you have a fun day and wonderful Thanksgiving week!

Nutcracker Card
I must say I am really enjoying my Nutcracker papers! LOVE them!!! I think anything Graphic 45 does, is irresistable. I made a few of these cards with similar layouts - just different images from the beautiful pad of paper. I popped up all the cut-outs. I added a beautiful netty gold metallic ribbon for glitz since there is lots and lots of glitz in the Nutcracker. I put a few rhinestones here and there. And I added a beautiful silky deep purple ribbon (my favorite color) to top it all off. How perty is that?
It's going to be a busy few weeks here with major house remodeling projects. Tomorrow we get our new refrigerator to put in the big hole in the kitchen. The house originally had a built-in frig but it was one of 5 appliance they removed (stold) from the house! So, we are finally getting that taken care of. Merry Christmas, Sherry!!! Then the rest of the cabinetry all over the house will be finished up - right after Thanksgiving. And Bill's shop will be built too - Merry Christmas Bill!!! And hopefully I will find time to sew Kaila's crate cover. Got to make her bedroom beautiful too!!! Then when January rolls around....we will start up again with work in the master bathroom. UGH...not looking forward to that.
Have a great day!

Christmas child
It's been awhile...you know how the story goes at this time of year!!! I'm trying to get some quick cards done so here is one I made using some Graphic 45 papers from my stash. The image is actually a punch out and the center is popped up with dimensionals. I backed it with some metallic papers. I'm into the fast and easy cards as time starts to get short! Hope your days are filled with fun!

Nutcracker Sweet
Today I made a fun project for ME ME ME!!! This is Graphic 45 papers that are made into an 8 x 8 shadowbox that I puchased from Michael's. It was raw wood and I covered the whole thing with papers from the pad. Silly me, I didn't get pictures of the sides - sorry. Anyways, I got out my exacto blade and cut out all the figures. It really went fast - not what I expected! The windows are diecuts and the top red fans are MS punches. The leafy branches on the window sill are punches. I added a few other things from my stash. All the figures and cut outs are either popped up or put on a little stand I made from paper so there are several dimensions in the box. It's not just glued onto the back of the box. This took all of a few hours to make! I got the idea from Graphic 45's blog!!!
Hope you have a fun day!

Candle gift set
I finished up a few xmas gifts today. These are Sharon Johnson's idea (No time to Stamp) and the supplies are from her store. I just love how they turned out. The candles were purchased at Michael's today at 3 for $10 so that wasn't too bad. I've been waiting for a good deal on them. They smell good too!
I've been working on several other projects but will have to wait until after the xmas holidays to share.
Pretty hard to imagine so many people in America believe that we are in a better place than we were 4 years ago. Very sad...

Reindeer wish
Happy November! Can't believe it is here already! Wow! Time sure flies when you're having fun!!! I made this card after seeing Archiver's recent newsletter with a similar card. Have to give them credit, you know! Mine isn't quite as dramatic as theirs. I had the reindeer die so it was pretty simple to do. The stamp is silver embossed. I found the stick-on star in my stash. How easy peasy is that! OMG...Kaila has discovered my paper pads and is carrying one around my craft room! That darn dog! I better quit before everything is destroyed! Have a good week!

My little witch!
OK...so this isn't a stamping project but it IS a crafting project!!! I made this cute little witch costume for Kaila a few weeks ago. We finally managed to get her to slow down and let me put it on her! I have a cute little hat too but I KNOW that will never go on her head!!! She didn't mind the costume at all once she got it on. She wore it for several hours before we took it off for her to go chase her cousin in the snow. I didn't want to get water spots on the satin. So, we'll see how it goes on Halloween night! Not sure yet how I will manage her by myself as she LOVES everybody that comes to the door and wants to jump all over them. We don't get many kids so maybe it won't even be an issue!
Happy Halloween from Kaila and I!!!

More Twisted Halloween cards
I made quite a few of these twisted Halloween cards. I decided to pick a few views of 3 different cards to share today. These are really fun cards to make! I used all sorts of embellishments and a few stamps here and there. It's a great way to use up some of your stash and have fun doing it!
We had temps in the high 70's and low 80's today. Thursday and Friday will be much much much colder - and snow is in the forecast too. I must say I am looking forward to the change! The weather should be warm again for Halloween so all the trick-or-treaters will be able to get out and get their goodies! Kaila will be a witch and she has NO interest in putting on her cute costume I made her. I think the sound of velcro scares her so she runs away as soon as I get the dress out. Maybe one day I will get a picture of her but it's not looking too good!

Holiday gift bag
While my hubby was setting up my new computer, I worked on some gift bags for the holidays (and tried to keep Miss Kaila out of trouble!!!). These are just kraft paper bags from Hobby Lobby. I had already cut the doggy out with my Silhouette and added a little glitter to his collar. The other diecuts are from a sheet of cardstock with punch-outs that has been in my stash awhile. I added the dog paw ribbon to the top. I also made a diecut and put the recepient (doggy's name) on it. It is attached up at the top with the bow so it looks like a collar tag. I have several more of these to make for all the doggies in the family.
We are having a beautiful day here in Colorado so we decided it was time to get started on putting up some of our xmas lights. It's much more pleasant putting them up when it is warm than when it is freezing cold and windy. So, we got the ones up on all the trees in the front. We still have lots left to do but did get a good start on it. Bill is gone so much so we have to do things when we can and our days of warm weather are numbered! Enjoy your day!

Trick or Treat
Another Halloween card today. This is a tag that I made from some Tim Holtz paper. The background of the tag is his paper. I distressed the edges with purple ink. The diecuts are from my Silhouette. The trick-or-treat badge at the top is a stamp and die by Making Memories. The spider is a glittery foam I had in my stash. The cute witch is by Graphic 45. I added a bit of glittery orange tulle behind her. I stamped the spiderweb with a very old stamp and I don't have the manufacturer.
I got a new computer for my craft room today so lots of learning to do. My ancient computer got way too slow for me to operate the programs I use for crafting so it was time to update. It's amazing how much better this is!
Have a fun weekend!

Just buzzin' by to say...
Yesterday in the newspaper there was an article about a 12 year old boy who was going to have brain surgery. He was in a bad accident 6 years ago and has been in and out of surgery since. His Dad is in the military so the family just moved to Colorado and he will have to undergo more major surgery. They didn't know many people so the newspaper put out a card request to help him get through the surgery. Of course when I saw that, I jumped on it. I enjoy sending out cards to those in need. So here is my card. The skateboard dude is a SU stamp. The papers are all from a pad by Basicgrey. I used a Spellbinders die for the pennants. The sentiment is also SU. The colors are more vibrant in real life. I'm off the the mailbox to get this out to him!
Have a fun day!

Twisted Halloween
It's so good to be back in my craft room for a short while. I made a bunch of these "twisted greeting cards" for Halloween and just love how they turned out. They were so much fun to make using all the embellishments I have in my stash. The card is made starting with a half sheet of cardstock (4 1/4 x 11) that is cut lengthwise. From there you fold the card diagonally from one corner to the other. By doing this you create a pocket for lots of fun embellishments. The card is then folded in half and is ready to decorate. I used lots of scraps, stickers, die cuts and things cut from my Silhouette. The house, bats, witch and witch legs were all cut from my Silhouette. I popped up lots of the embellishments for added fun.
Have a fun week!

Ooga Booga!
On occasion I enjoy getting unique cards and crafts from Aimee Asher online. I found these cute candy bar wrappers to use for my Halloween trick-or-treaters. We had 22 kids last year so there aren't many to do. If we have more than that....well, they will just get theirs naked! So, I printed these and then just taped them together and crimped the ends. I added hair to the top. The eyes and noses are popped out with dimensionals so they REALLY are pretty cute!!!
Today my sweet little Kaila turned our house into a snowy mess. She got a hold of a toilet paper roll that was FULL FULL FULL. We have the kind that you just slip the tissue onto so they are perfect for little devil dogs to remove and carry off to all parts of the house! Bill was here. I was here. It was quiet. We were on our computers in different rooms. OMG...you can't imagine the fun she was having! She is really into tearing things up into a million pieces. She LOVES that! It's her newest hobby! Well, my floors were white, white white!!! We were both on our hands and knees trying to clean up the mess that she made in the matter of just a few minutes! No kidding! What a mess! So now we keep the doors to bathrooms closed!
There is a link at the bottom of my blog for a wonderful craft store I have discovered that has really good deals on paper crafting supplies and all crafts for that matter. They run sales where everything is 30% off occasionally! They have a very good assortment of everything. It's my new favorite place to shop!!!
Have a better day than me!!!

Best witches
October is flying past me! This is a card I made with some leftover fabric from Kaila's Halloween costume! She will be the most adorable witch on Halloween!!! When I get pictures, I will post them. So this was some of the fabric that I just tied together with ribbon for the witch dress. The boots and hat are Spellbinders diecuts with added bling. I got the idea from Pinterest although mine is quite different from what I recall seeing there.
I have lots of other Halloween cards to post but wanted to wait until I mailed them out before posting. Lots of my friends also follow my blog. Wouldn't want to spoil it for them!
Have a great day!
Just found out my "Witch Boot" is a SCS "favorite" of the week! Thanks so much!
