Fisherman's card

It seems to be the season for male birthday cards in my family! And they are probably my least favorite cards to make! This was made with a few embossing folders and the goldish brown card was sanded to show more detailing. It has a light core so it worked great. The image is an old SU stamp that I picked up at a craft sale and knew I could use it for a few of the fishermen in our family. I have no idea if I have colors right for some of the fishing "stuff". I'm not a fisherman! The pin is by Tim Holtz and it just seemed to fit the scene.

Spring Florals

I'm cheating today!!! I found a card I never posted and it's one I really love. The picture does not do it justice. It's a very simple card that is just stamped and colored with Copics. But, I added some sparkle to lots of the flowers and I don't think you can see that. It's really pretty. My bow is silk ribbon that is so easy to work with and so elegant. It's my favorite kind of ribbon to tie!
I hope your day goes better than mine has - the reason for a cheater card!!! Tomorrow is a better day already...we are going to a Dbacks spring training game. I love those. We're doing 2 in one week - YES!!!

Happy Easter

This may be my last Easter card...but you just never know when you are a cardmaker!!! The inspiration for this card was the tulip design printed paper. I got out my Spellbinder's tulip pendants and cut out the square pendant. I used some of the extra tulips from other designs for the decorations at the top. The lacy bottom is a Martha Stewart punch. And I've seen a bunch of her new ones that I really want!!! Is there an end to this disease!!!

Happy Easter!

I'm back! It seems my time is so limited lately and I think it will get worse before it gets better!!! I am trying my best to find time to do cards! It's a nice break from wedding planning! I must say I am thoroughly enjoying all the projects I'm doing for Brittany's wedding. And there are tons and tons of them. I will post them all after the wedding! Here is another Easter card. I got a card kit from Taylored Expressions and love all the fun papers and ribbons in the kit. Their solid color cardstock is REALLY nice and it's textured so it's so different from everything else out there. I may just have to order more when I have more time to make cards. This is my square bunny stamp that I pull out every year! It's a definite favorite of mine and one that I never get tired of!

Birthday wishes

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Most of you will get this a day late since my posts are posted at midnight. Better late than never, right! I even did a card with green on it!!! I colored and layered the flower. It's all popped up with dimensionals. I didn't have quite the shade of ribbon I needed so I made my own!!! I colored a light green ribbon with one of my Copics so that it would match the flower. It actually looks much better in real life!

Easter Blessings

It seems like ages since I have posted anything! I have just been incredibly busy and had company all day on Saturday and a wedding appointment on Sunday so there has been very little time for cards! I was determined that I would get something made tonight if it meant staying up late...and that's what I'm doing!!! This is a MojoMonday card sketch - I needed all the help I could get! The stamped image is done with a few of the peg stamps. The rest is just layering. The hardest part was coming up with papers that worked together. This is quite an assortment of scraps from my files!
Have a great week!

Cuckoo for you!

When I saw this cuckoo clock stamp, I knew I had to have it. I grew up with cuckoo clocks since my grandfather came over from Germany when he was a little boy. We were also stationed in Germany for 15 months so I picked up several cuckoo clocks for my home. There is just nothing like a cuckoo clock! So, this is my card for today! Very simple! I'm sure I will find many cards to make with this stamp set!
Have a great day!

Fancy purse favor

This is a purse I made as a sample for a possible Bridesmaid's Luncheon favor. The DP is a flocked paper so is very elegant. It's also a print that one of my vendors is hunting for for table overlays at the wedding dinner. We'll see if she can find it for me! Anyways, the purse is made from a Sizzix XL die and is really simple to put together. I just love how the ribbon weaves through the front of the purse and the back and ties in bows on the sides. I added a wedding cake charm to the beaded handle. Have a fun week! I plan to!!!

Just buzzin' by...

Here is one of those "male" cards that needed to get done this month!!! I went to town with my Copics but still need lots more practice. I did get my airbrush attachment today so got to put the clouds in the picture. Not too bad for a first time try!

Happy Easter!

This is another Easter card I made using a Hero Arts Cling Stamp. I stamped the image 2 times and colored them. I cut out the flowers from one image and popped them up on the other image. The sentiment was added. The DP's are from the Blossoms & Butterflies DCWV pad of paper and so perfect for an Easter card. Did you see the butterfly? I got a bunch of these at a stamp convention at 10 for $1!!! They are so beautiful too! I wish I cleaned out the store!!! Have a great day!

SC270 Easter bunny hop!

It's another great day for me! I got 2 more major wedding tasks completed so that is good! We found a DJ we like and also got some great deals on hotels for guests. We have a few more major things to take care of and then we can get busy making all the fun things for the wedding events - and I must say there are TONS of them! The list seems to get longer daily but I'm loving every minute of it!

This is a card for the Sketch challenge on SCS today. The DP are all from Cosmo Cricket, Garden Variety. The bunny stamp is actually a square stamp with a big hole in the middle - lots of options for that! I colored the image with my Copics. I may have to dig out some white fluff for the bunny tails! Wouldn't that be cute! Hope you have a great day too!

MOJO128

This is my card for MOJO MONDAY this week. The background paper was my inspiration for this card and I tried to keep with the flower theme. The big flower is made from Spellbinder's flowers and then crinkled up with a flower brad in the center. The picket fence is a Martha Stewart punch and the fence has floral brads climbing up it!

Popcorn card!

Well, I finally made a card for one of my nephews and am very pleased with how it turned out. I forgot that I had this popcorn stamp that is so perfect for most males. The image was colored with Copics and the rest of the card is just layering. How easy can that be? If I had only found this stamp earlier!!!
