Happy Anniversary

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend and remembering our Veterans. My hubby spent 20 years in the Air Force and we have several close friends who died serving our country. It's always a hard holiday for me.

I have the weekend all to myself so I've been busy sewing and crafting. My list is a mile long and time is flying by way too fast!!! I decided to take a break from my sewing projects and do a few cards. This is an anniversary card I needed to get made. I love the color combination and it's all from one pad of paper. I found the sketch on Mojo Monday in April and decided to use it for this card.

Paper: Pink Paislee

Stamp: Inkadinkado

Other: Heart punch, pearls, ribbon

Shirt and Tie Cards

I was inspired by a card I found here. I couldn't resist trying a few of these. I adjusted my cards to fit into a 5 x 7 envelope since that is what I have on hand. I also free handed the tie so they are both a little different because of that. I did a folded flap pocket with a handkerchief inserted inside. I used tiny buttons for the button down collar - really cute in real life!!! The theme of the ties is perfect for the recipients - a boater and a gardener. Pretty simple cards with no stamping!

Another flower card!

Wow! 2 days in a row I have posted something! These are just so simple to do and I needed a few cards to send out so this is what I came up with. The flower is made with several Nesties that have been layered. The leaves are also Nesties! The stamp is a new cling stamp I found at Michael's the other day and was cheap so I picked it up. It's a Studio G stamp. Hope your day has been fun!

Paper: BasicGrey, Papertrey Ink, scraps

Stamps: Studio G

Other: Nesties, rick rack, rhinestones, dimensionals

3D card

I'm back! It seems I have been gone forever! My hubby and I took a vacation back east to visit family. It was a rough trip because we were either in an airplane or in a car for most of the trip. With back troubles, it's not a pleasant way to spend a vacation but we filled a few squares for awhile and I think we made lots of relatives very happy. We are back and now we NEED a vacation!!! That seems to always be the way things go!

So here is a card I made today for the first time in ages. It is a 3D card with lots of layering with dimensional tape. The flowers are all "punch-outs" and then just layered - very simple and just what I need! They come in a package of 4 different designs by Dove Arts (I think). It's a company from the UK. The bottom edging is a punch by Martha Stewart. There is no stamping on this card!

Have a great week and I hope to try and get back into the swing of things very soon.

Wedding Card

It seems I'm lucky to get one card posted a week now days! I just have so much going on in my life right now and little time to "play". This is a card for a very special friend of mine who is getting married for the second time. I know she loves pink so decided to go with a pink card. I think she will like this. The wedding bells are embossed and then I put little pearls on the ringers. The rest is just simple layering of various DP's from my scraps.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day! I will be gone for awhile but hope to be back in mid-May! Thanks for stopping by!

It's that time of the year again...lots of graduations! I lucked out this year and only have one so that is nice for a change! This is made with lots of DP's that are just layered and layered. The image is a Magnolia stamp that has been colored with Copics and then cut out and popped up with dimensionals. Not a difficult card.
