Thank You

Another card from my stash that I did on one of my very productive days. Just haven't had time lately to do much of any crafting. Wedding planning can be very time consuming! This card was made using lots of tiny peg stamps. The floral background paper is made with all stamps. The square block on top is a Just Rite stamp. I mounted a small sentiment on top of that and popped it up with dimensionals. The lacy borders on the top and bottom are Martha Stewart punches. Have a great weekend!
Paper: Neenah, SU, K & Co.
Stamps: Rubber Stamp Tapestry, Inkadinkado
Ink: Versacolor

Engagement card

What a crazy day it has been!!! But, it all ended well so that is great!!! This is the card I made several days ago for Brittany's exciting day. She should be getting her ring soon!!! There is a lot of embossing here. The rings are embossed as well as the background. The sentiment is embossed with silver metallic powder. I used some glossy/shimmery paper from Recollections - back in the good ole days when they were still around. I sure miss that store! Pretty simple card!

Paper: Shimmery white cardstock, Neenah
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Ink: Versamark, embossing powder
Accessories/Tools: Nesties, embossing folders and powder, ribbon

Will you...

Life is getting very busy for me lately. We are working on dates for my daughter's wedding. Of course she wants it ASAP so she can move to Colorado with him. Just not sure we can get all the logistics worked out - the biggest issue being her dress. She is 6 feet tall so you just can't go buy a dress off the rack. Everything is hideous on her tall thin body. And the first bridal shop I checked today says a minimum of 15 weeks for special orders. Well, that rules out a May wedding. But not in her mind!!! She wants Mom to design it and make it! Yea, right - in that short time!!! So, we shall see.
This is a card I made for giving to her bridesmaids. I will have to change the colors since I was just doing a sample for this one. The small dresses are colored with Copics and then I got out my glittery pens and added some bling to them. The bigger dress is the same way. I cut the lettering out on my Silhouette machine. I will let Brittany do the inside of the cards. I love how it turned out. Hopefully she will like it too!

Raggedy Ann Valentine

Well, I think the rains are gone now although it still looks a bit stormy around here. Our normally dry riverbeds are RAGING rivers. I have never seen them so full in my 11 years in Phoenix. It's amazing!
This is another Raggedy Ann valentine I made. She is colored with Copics and mounted on Nesties. The 2 peachy colored borders are sewn with Bazzill templates and they took all of 5 minutes to complete. There are a couple of green pearls up in the right corner if you look really hard!!!

Paper: Basicgrey (I think), Bazzill
Stamps: Judith
Ink: Memento, Copics, SU
Accessories/Tools: Ribbon, pearls, nesties, floss

Floral wishes

This was a fun card to make and for the life of me I can not find the directions for making the flower anywhere. It is made from a round scallop punch. There are 4 scalloped punches cut out and folded in various ways to make the flower. If I run across the directions or if someone knows the link for the directions...I will post it. The floral stem is part of a stamp - the actual flower is covered up by my 3D flower. I kept the stem pink to tie in with the colors of the DP. There is an orange scalloped border across the bottom.
Paper: SU, Core Color
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Ink: SU
Accessories/Tools: button brads, rhinestones, Martha Stewart punches, SU punches for ovals and tab

Here is a link that one of my readers sent me for directions to making the flower: http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/2010/01/scallop-circle-folded-flower.html

Thanks so much!!!

Lime Heart

Well, the rain is here in Arizona! We have a rain gauge that we have been emptying these past few days and we have gotten well over 3 inches in just a few days. This will end up being more than we got for the WHOLE year last year! Incredible. On top of that...we have a roof leak. You don't really find out about these things because it never rains in Arizona! Well, it's swampland here now. The airport even shut down! And my hubby goes to work tomorrow. We'll see if he flies!!!
This is a card I made a few days ago when I was on a roll!!! It's just so cute! Pink and lime green are MY colors! Just love them together and that is probably why my craft room is pink and lime green!!! This heart was embossed with the lime green and cut out. Then there is a dry embossed pink panel behind it. The sentiment on top of the embossed heart is popped up as well as the lime green embossed heart. The lacy white border is a Martha Stewart punch. The rest is just layering. Have a great day and stay dry!!!

SC264 Sketch Challenge

I'm so impressed with myself to have done 2 challenges in one week! It is so nice to get back into the swing of things although I think my stamping time is quickly going to be devoted to wedding planning in the very near future for my kids. Life has a way to keeping us busy, doesn't it!
So....this is my valentine card for my hubby and I hope he doesn't check out my blog before Valentine's Day. Sometimes he does! It is also the challenge today on SCS. The DP's are from a package of paper I got last year and I'm not sure where they came from. I must say that I have no intentions of keeping track of all my stash's manufacturers. It's tough enough just to find a place to put the stuff!!! Anyways, The stamp is actually 2 different ones from MSE (MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY). It was just stamped with red SU ink - no coloring of the hearts or anything! The rest is just layering.
Have a wonderful day!
Papers: Bazzill, Nennah and other DP's

Another Gorjuss Girl Valentine

2 posts in one day - Wow! We had to replace 2 AC units today so we were kind of stuck at the house which meant more stamping time! We got them all in before the rains started so that was good! So here is another valentine I made for another challenge called Paper Take Weekly. It had to be a "pink" card. This is another Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie and she is all dressed in her Pink! I colored her with Copics and cut her out and mounted her on the Nesties. The stitching is Bazzill templates that only take a few minutes to stitch up. There is a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom of the card. Hope you have a fun day too!

Paper: Debbie Mum, Bazzill

Stamps: Sugar Nellie, MSE

Ink: Memento, Copics

Color Challenge 254

Hello from sunny Arizona - soon to be stormy Arizona!!! We are supposed to get lots of rain this week - ha! ha! , so we shall see! We had just over 3 inches of rain last year (total) and they say we may get up to 4 inches this week! We could be washed off this planet with that much rain!!! I'll have to see it to believe it!!!
This card is for a challenge on SCS. We were to use these 3 colors: ruby red, bashful blue and cocoa. I'm not sure my colors are exactly correct but they work for me! The little girl is a Gorjuss Girl and colored with Copic markers. She is mounted on nesties. I just love this shape and use it quite often, it seems! The rest is pretty simple. Hope you have a nice day!

Raggedy Ann

Hope you enjoyed your holiday! I certainly enjoyed mine. I didn't do any stamping but my daughter came over and we had a great time dining, shopping and making home made pizza which was to die for! I made a whole wheat crust from freshly ground whole wheat and it was just unbelievable. Guess we will get leftovers tomorrow! Yum yum!!!
I just love my Raggedy Ann stamp and thought she was perfect for Valentine's Day cards. She is colored with Copics and mounted on nesties. The sentiment is just too cute too! I took a marker and colored on paper a space the size of the heart and THEN stamped the heart with a darker colored ink. Then I cut out the heart. The eyelet border is a Martha Stewart punch. The plaid DP is from my stash and there is no name on it so I have no idea where I got it. It's probably a few years old. The bow is Bazzill ribbon.
Paper: Bazzill, Neenah, other unknown DP
Stamps: Judith, MSE
Ink: Memento, SU
Accessories/Tools: Punch, ribbon, heart rhinestones

3 Hearts

Another valentine card as promised and many more to come!!! This was made using an MSE stamp. I stamped it once on my white paper and then stamped it again and cut this image out. I colored both images and popped up the cut-out image with dimensionals. The hot pink paper behind it is Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock. The white hearts are done with a Martha Stewart punch. The rest is easy! See you tomorrow!

2 Hearts

Today has been a very productive day for me. The Cardinals game didn't go as well as I had hoped so I ended up getting more cards done today than planned. I have so so many birthdays in the first 5 months of this year. I am using some of my stash for many of them so that is nice. I do have quite the collection as you can imagine! But today I worked on Valentine's Day Cards. These are mostly for friends so that is always fun.
This card was made using one heart stamp that was embossed with glitter. The bottom heart is a Martha Stewart punch. The side hearts are also a Martha Stewart punch. The rest is just layering. Have a great day! See you tomorrow with more valentines!

Birthday Butterflies

Today is such a beautiful day in Arizona! The weather is just perfect as it is most days in the winter here!!! It's a butterfly day!!! This card is an Easel card and the directions can be found here. I got some new paper at Joann's this past week and it is absolutely gorgeous! It is a pad called Mariposa by DCWV. There are lots of glittery pages and I do love that! This paper is from an 8 x 8 pad and I used one corner for the big image and then cut another corner for the right front corner. I did some fairly easy cutting around the flourishes and then just glued the image down on another sheet of solid glitter paper that co-ordinates. The sentiments are embossed in a glittery blue green color that looks so nice. The big floppy butterfly is stamped with Versamark on vellum paper. I then got out my Pearl Ex and brushed 5 0r 6 colors on the image. I wiped it off and then heat set it. The butterfly trail is part of a flourish rhinestone design that I cut apart to fit my card. I used my sparkly jelly roll pen to "glitterize" (my new word) a few of the butterflies. So cool! The rust colored border is a Martha Stewart punch and it holds the card up for display. This card took a few hours to make but much of that was just the thought process that goes into creating beautiful cards!!! Have a creative day! I just did!!!

3 Valentines

Can you believe Valentine's Day will be here before you know it?!?! Well, here are 3 valentine's I made today in quantity! They are all pretty simple because I will be selling them to a florist and I wanted something FAST and EASY! They were all images that were stamped and colored with Copics. They were mounted on cardstock and then mounted on DP's. The Snoopy card has some banners on the bottom that I picked up last year on clearance and just love! There must be 50 in the package and they are all valentine related. So cool! These are 4 1/4 inch square cards to go in some envelopes I have. I also stamped a valentine image on the front of each envelope.
First card

Second card

80th Birthday Card

This is a card I made for my Dad's birthday. His birthday is the same day as my daughter's and my niece's! It's a day for celebrating! The cake was cut out using my Silhouette machine. It's actually a card that was cut out but I decided to use it as a diecut. I added gold braid to the cake to coordinate with my paper that also has gold in it. There is another gold trim at the bottom of the cake layers that is an old sticker from my stash. The stars were stamped on with a peg stamp. The sentiment is a tiny stamp from a company in Western Arizona - can't remember the name of it but LOVE their stamps! The "80" chipboard numbers were covered with black cardstock. Pretty simple card!

Paper: DCWV, Neenah
Stamps: Judith and an AZ company
Ink: Memento
Accessories: Gold trim from Germany, stickers, chipboard

Wedding Card

This is a wedding card I made using a new heart stamp I recently purchased. The heart is embossed in silver metallic embossing powder. There are a few layers of dry embossing folders used behind the heart. They are each backed with white cardstock. The top heart border is the new Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is also embossed in silver. The silver metallic paper is textured and almost appears to have been wadded up and wrinkled and then smoothed out. Very beautiful paper!

Papers: Neenah cardstock, Provocraft silver metallic paper
Stamps: Stampendous-heart, Stampabilities-sentiment
Ink: Versamark,
Accessories: Silver metallic embossing powder, silver ribbon, Martha Stewart heart punch, Cuttlebug embossing folders, pearls

Thank You

Hello! I got ambitious today and took the rug off my hardwood flooring in my craft room. I got a new chair for Christmas and I just wasn't able to move around as much as I liked. SO...I rolled up my rug and put it in a closet. I can roll around my craft room like it's an ice skating rink! I hope I don't crash into something! I thought I better hold on to the rug in case I start having too many collisions!
This was created using Spellbinder's frames. When I cut the inside of the frame out, I ran it through my Big Shot with the Swiss Dots folder. I then put it back in the center of the frame and popped it up so I could run ribbon under it. The ribbon is Maya Arts silk ribbon and is so wonderful to work with. The image is colored with Copics. I'm going to use a new format for my recipe and see how that goes! I won't always have all of the manufacturers as I don't store everything in their original packages.

Paper: Bazzil (green cardstock), Neenah (white)
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Ink: SU, Copic markers
Accessories: Ribbon - Maya Arts, Pearls
Tools: Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame

Birthday Book

This is a birthday book I made to be filled with pictures. I got the chipboard book from Michael's in their $1 bin. I just covered all the fronts and backs with various papers and I think they are mostly from K & Co but the cover is torn off the pad so I'm not sure! I added a few embellishments here and there and stamped a few birthday sentiments. It was lots of fun to make! Have a great day!

My Planner

Well, it is past Jan 1 now and I never got MY planner done! So, I decided it was about time as I already have appts waiting to be put on the calendar. This is similar to a few others I have already posted. I purchased the images from a piece of French (I believe) wrapping paper. I cut them out and then stamped some miscellaneous wording on the left side so it is very faint. I stamped the month on each month's page. I used "CalendarsQuick" for printing my inside pages. For about $10 a year, I can print as many calendars as my little heart desires and there are tons of templates to choose from. I timed it so I could use it for 2009 gifts and also 2010 gifts - if I want to. Cool! I used some of Graphic 45 DP for the inside pages and also a scrap on the front cover. It is all bound together with my Bind-it-all machine. I just love that thing! It's probably one of my better investments as I LOVE making little books! OK...got to get back to making a birthday book! See ya tomorrow!

Love

Well, I couldn't resist doing another one of these cards today! I stamped the LOVE and then colored it with a glitter pen which you probably can not see in the photo. I then got my Tapestry peg stamps out and stamped everywhere! I highlighted the rose colored flowers with the glitter pen. The image is cut with oval nesties and then backed with a scalloped oval nestie. The eyelet ribbon is a Martha Stewart punch. I added pearls in the centers of the flowers. The DP is SU. Quick and easy - just how I like it! Have a great day!
