Graphic 45 box

Here is a gift box I made using my favorite papers - Graphic 45.  I just cut various colors and stripes from the papers and glued them on.  The fruit is also cut out and popped up with dimensionals.  I added a silk flower to the top of the box.  Quick and easy...just like I like!

Time to Celebrate

I'm back with a Spellbinders 3D Embossed card.  This is made with one of their new folders.  I rolled ink onto the folder with a brayer.  I then embossed the cardstock.  Then I chalked the flowers and the butterfly.  I embossed another piece of cardstock to cut the banner out and popped it up with dimensionals.  The stamp I used for the sentiment is by Rubber Stampede.  It  just happened to fit the banner size!
Hope you have a crafty week!

Spellbinders Corsage

My church craft group made these beautiful corsages this month and they really are quick and easy!   You can use your Spellbinders floral dies to cut the fabric too!!!  How cool is that!  So this was made with one base floral diecut.  Then you will need 8 more of various fabrics pieces cut into the same size and shape.  These were made from upholstery swatches from those books at furniture stores, upholstery shops etc.  Then you just fold each flower into quarters and attach to the base flower.  There will end up being 2 layers of 4  flowers that have been folded into quarters.  You will overlap the second layer so that it lays over the seams of the first layer.  Hope that makes sense.  I think you do paper flowers this way too...I just have never done it before!  You will need to tack down the centers of each quarter flower.  Add a button or other embellishment to the center.  I have a metal pin on the back.  My flower is very fluffy.  If you use a thin cotton fabric, you may want to do more layers.  These really are gorgeous on and evidently they sell for big bucks in England and even here in the good ole USA!  We only had one Big Shot at the craft meeting so I hand cut all my flowers.  Some of these ladies didn't know how to use a Big Shot so having to wait for each lady to cut 9 flowers....well you know how long I would have been there!!!

I hope you have a fun weekend!  Mine is crammed full of fun things so I'm excited!

Peachy tulips for Easter

Here is a quick Easter card made with lots of dies.  The larger diecuts are by Spellbinders.  The tulips are Memory Box.  With all the intricate details in the larger dies...I have learned to use wax paper or freezer paper on my dies (between die and paper) to allow the paper to release from all the tiny places.  It helps tremendously.  There are so many beautiful dies out there now with very intricate detailing in them...but they can be very tricky to get out in one piece.  Patience and freezer or wax paper are on my requirements list!
Hope you have a fun day!

Secret Garden Collection

Here is my Secret Garden gift set I finished making, finally.  The tag/card was on a previous post.  The Birthday book has pages that I purchased from Papertrey Ink.  There is one for each month with lines to write birthdays on.  The pages fold over to form a pocket to keep birthday cards for that month inside.  I have also added cardboard dividers that have been decorated with Secret Garden papers.  The bare book was also purchased from Papertrey Ink and painted with off white acrylic paint and then distressed.  I put down the base DP and added various cut outs and bling.  The inside pages were stamped with each month and decorated with various sticker embellishments.
The third item is a little "Family  Contacts" book for everyone's email, phone number and birthday. I embellished the book with a few cutouts from the Secret Garden papers and a silk ribbon bow.

Grandbaby announcement

So, I'm a bit late getting this posted...you know how the story goes...This is a baby announcement I did for my hubby and I to announce our first grandchild.  It was a bit time consuming so I didn't end up making as many as I had DREAMED I would!  But, they were fun to do!  I typed up a little announcement for the second panel.  The dies are by Sizzix.  It took lots of cuttings to get everything cut out for just one announcement.  I cut the base from pink cardstock to make it sturdy.  Then I added another layer on top from various scraps of pink prints.  I just added embellishments I have had in my stash for years!  I love how they turned out...just wish I had more time to do more of them.  The baby came early so it really caught me off guard!!!
Have a fun day!

Happy Birthday Card

This is a bday card I made for a long time friend.  This was made using Becca Feeken's kit that she was doing each month.  She has discontinued doing them - boo hoo - but is still designing for Spellbinders so that is good.  She does awesome work.  All of these dies are by Spellbinders and the stamped image is by Just Rite.  The ruffle at the bottom is crepe paper and the bow is made from seam tape.
We got quite a bit of snow yesterday and it is so beautiful here.  The sun is shining and the sky is blue - couldn't ask for a better day!  Happy crafting!

Secret Garden Tag/card

I've been working on a birthday gift and made this card to go with the book I am still working on.  It is made with 2 tags.  I cut 1 1/2" off the bottom of one card and rounded the corners.  I used part of the piece I cut off to make a tab to connect the 2 tags at the edge to make the card.  I adhered various Graphic 45 papers to the tag to cover the tab and embellished it with many of the Graphic 45 designs from the various papers.  This is from the new Secret Garden collection.  I added some diecuts, bling, ribbon and popped up many of the designs with dimensional foam tape.  I'll be back soon with the book to go with this tag!
Have a crafty day!
