WT380 SCS Ways to Use it challenge

Quick posting....here is my card for the challenge on SCS today.  Sizzix embossing folder, Memory box dies and several punches for the flowers.  The scene in the window are stamps by Dee Gruenig - Texas collection.
Got to run...

Fabulous Friend

Here is a card I made for a Fabulous Friend!!!  The embossing just adds so much to this card.  I believe it is a Sizzix folder.  I have rubbed ink on the inside of the folder to allow it to go in the indentations of the folder. I added a few Memory Box die cut flowers and pearls.  The stamped sentiment is by SU.
We had our few days of heat but are back to the cooler temps again.  It was 56 here about 10 am.  They say it will make it up to the 70's but I don't think that will happen at my house.  It is also very windy today.  We had a fire scare in the neighborhood yesterday.  Guess someone caught their garage on fire.  Thank God it didn't go further than that with all the trees we have here and we certainly don't need another Colorado wildfire!  We need a few days of rain showers in Colorado to calm things down a bit!
Have a great day!

Happy 4th of July SC390

This card is for the Sketch Challenge today on SCS.  It's also for my nephew for his 4th of July birthday.  The borders across the bottom are a design on the papers by WE R Memory Keepers.  It fit perfectly for this challenge so I was happy!  The stamp is by Stampendous and the ovals are by Spellbinders.  If this were for a girl, I would add some bling but I'm afraid my 29 year old nephew won't appreciate that!
Today it is starting out as a rather cold day here but I think it will be up in the 70's by afternoon.  I turned off the AC and am in my sweats today!!!  Enjoy your day!

Just to say HELLO

I'm finally back with another quick and easy card.  I kind of liked the last all white card I made so thought I would do several more to go with some photos I need to get out.  I only have about 15 minutes to get this all done so couldn't be too detailed.  The flowers are a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Not sure whose stamp this is but I think it's a G Studio one.
They say it's hot here in Colorado.  Everyone is complaining.  Guess they have never been to Phoenix!!!  It was 90 here yesterday at my house.  It never got that hot here last year.  We did turn on our AC mostly because of the wild fires burning.  The smoke is pretty strong and I was having a few problems with it so we took care of that!
Kaila is doing so great!  She keeps me busy though and out of my craft room.  She has managed to conquer the many stairs coming up to my craft room so we have had to put a gate across the bottom.  It would be a major disaster if she stepped a little paw in here.  She is napping and my time is up so better run!  Happy crafting!

SC389 Sketch Challenge

I'm back for a quick card for todays sketch challenge on SCS.  I haven't done too many all white cards so I decided today was the day for that.  These are Spellbinders and Memory Box dies and a SU sentiment.  I used my Scor-pal to add the creases around the card.  The vase is actually a teacup die that I have embossed with a Sizzix folder.  The tulips are popped up with dimensionals.
I am so happy that the Teapot Challenge for Regina went so well yesterday.  She will be getting a BUNCH of absolutely gorgeous cards.  She will be having her last hip surgery (we hope) on July 31.  It's a long wait when you have been without since November but at least she won't be losing her leg.
I'm short on time with Kaila demanding so much of my day but I must say she is worth every minute of it.  She is the best little puppy I could ever ask for.  That's not saying she doesn't keep me going - nonstop every minute she is awake!!!  She does.  But, she is such a bundle of joy!
Hope you have a wonderful day full of sunshine and happiness!

MMTPT202 Teapot Challenge for Regina

Today I have 2 cards to share for a special person who is going through some very rough times.  The ladies on SCS are having a Teapot Challenge with an option of sending your card to my sister-in-law.  If you will hop on over the Splitcoaststampers, you will find all the information about the challenge under Tuesday's Teapot Challenge.  This week the challenge is MMTPT202 for June 12, 2012.  Regina will be so happy to get cards from all over the world and I will be happy for her too as I know she is going through some very hard times.
The first card was a design I found on Aimee Asher's website.  I love to make these cards as there is so much dimension to them and they are just a change of pace for me, once in awhile.
The second card has lots of die cuts in it by Memory Box.  The cute doggie is Stamping Bella and the sentiment is Memory Box.  The DP is Jack & Jill with a few added butterfly punches.
Thanks in advance if you are sending out a card!  Have a fun and crafty day!

My baby is here!

Kaila is finally here!  Yes, our precious little baby has arrived and is such a bundle of joy - and a lot of work too!!!  We love her so much!  This photo was taken the day we brought her home - just one week ago.  Both of her ears are now up as of today!  She is so so good and brings so much enjoyment to us.  I need to carry a camera with me at all times to catch some of her crazy things she does but that just doesn't happen.  She would try to chew it up too so no point!
I will be back tomorrow with a wonderful story for you.  One of the groups on SCS has selected my sister-in-law as the recipient of the Teapot Challenge cards for this week.  The gal in charge contacted me and wanted to do a challenge for Teapot Tuesday that could be dedicated to Regina.  We came up with a theme and will post the story on Tuesday on SCS under the challenges on the home page.  It is the Tuesday Teapot Challenge.   I will also try to post it on my blog so you can participate as well.  For those of you wanting to get started early...it will involve making a card with white doggies, flowers and butterflies.  It does not have to include all 3.  Her address will be posted on SCS as well.  The ladies on SCS are the best and this group is VERY dedicated in getting cards to those in need.  Such a sweet group of ladies!
Regina goes to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully she will get some good news and they will be able to perform her final hip replacement surgery.
Have a great week and I'll be back here tomorrow!
