Thinking of you ornament

We have tons of pine cones in our neighborhood from all the various pine trees.  So, I decided this year I would try to make something with them.  My hubby's grandmother will be 100 next year so I thought I could do an ornament to put on a stand for her room.  This is my first so it was kind of trial and error.  The tag is a Just Rite stamp and die.  I added a red ribbon bow and some miniature pine cones to the top as well as some cute green holly leaves which aren't too visible in the photo.  These were fairly quick to make so I may make a bunch for my tree if we get to put one up this year with our little terror that would probably have a PARTY pulling ornaments off as quickly as I could get them on.  It is in the 50's here today so she is VERY high energy and just about ready to rip the back off my chair if I don't quit soon!!!
Have a great day!

Best Witches

Today I finally started on a Halloween card!.  I cut the witch boot with my Silhouette machine.  I'm sorry the photography does not do the boot justice.  There is actually an edging and lacing cut separately that are attached to the front of the boot.  It gives it a bit of 3D which is not visible here.  Black and metallics just don't photograph well for me!  The sentiment is a stamp by Stampendous.  The boot is also popped up with dimensionals.  The background paper is by the Paper Company.  I hope to try some other ways to use this witch boot.  Have a great week!

Thanksgiving table

What a fun project these were to make!  And thanks to Barb Schram over on No Time to Stamp blog...she came up with this wonderful idea and I loved it so here mine are!  I used different embellishments for the top but the same beautiful stamps/dies by Just Rite.  The tag holders are by Tim Holtz.  The ribbons and leaves and glittery netting are all things I had on hand.
I finally changed my photo on my blog to reflect the new me and my new pride and joy - Kaila!  My hubby has been after me for a few years to change my photo.  I've been through a few hairstyles since then and he just did NOT like the picture.  Well, I'm just not one of those people who likes to take pictures of myself(HATE HATE HATE) so it never got done.  So, this one should last a few more years!!!  And maybe the rest of my life ---- the old age SAG is setting in BADLY so this may be the last!!!
Have a great day of crafting!

For You

My Kaila is at the groomer's this morning so I am FINALLY getting some free time to work on a card.  I really should be cleaning my house but I need some "ME" time!  So this was a fun card for my mother-in-law for her bday.  I'm so far behind on my cards that I'm actually doing the inside to show you too!  The papers are by Lost and Found-Sunshine.  The diecuts on the front are by Spellbinders and the stamp is Just Rite.  It's the Autumn Tags collection that I really really like. There is a pennant with the black dots that is popped up - just under the bow. There is actually a black punched border behind the ivory punched border on the bottom  It's not a shadow you are seeing!!!  Looks much prettier IRL!  The inside is a Cheery Lynn diecut and the sentiment is embossed and the stamp is Wordsworth.
It's a cold and very dreary day here in Colorado.  This is most definitely a North Carolina kind of day and I must say....I don't miss it at all!  I will take the cold and the snow any day to this dreary, raininess!
Hope your day is going well....OH OH OH!!!  I am going to have a little girl for my first grandchild next Jan or Feb!  Won't that be fun!!!

Becca's book

I'm finally getting back with a post!  I joined "Becca's"  (Amazing Grace)  membership club to get kits each month with everything you need to create and amazing Becca Creation!  She is one of the most amazing paper crafters in the world.  I have followed her for years and have always been amazed at everything she does.  She is truly a gifted lady.  So, here is her first kit for September.  I have not actually finished it yet but since I haven't posted in ages...I figured I better get something on here soon!  The kits are well worth the money even though they are a bit expensive for my tastes!  She included a stamp and die set as well as all the  papers and embellishments.  It's really a good deal.
If you are one of those who enjoys sending out cards to special people - that you don't even know - well, check out SCS on Tuesday Teapot Challenge for this week.  We are doing birthday cards for a 110 year old lady!  I don't think I will ever have that opportunity again so I jumped at it.  I didn't have time to do one special for her but had some gorgeous ones in my stash that were perfect so I have mailed mine to her.  We got the challenge early so that she would get the cards in time for her HUGE birthday party of 500 people!  But, it is not too late to send them.  She LOVES to get cards from strangers and attributes her long life to her love for people!  Hope she has a Happy Birthday!
