Tim Holtz Halloween Card

This is a Tim Holtz Halloween Card made with his new designer paper. The sentiment is Tiny Treats by Papertrey Ink - I think. Simple card!
I have a very special request. My sister-in-law is 55 and had breast cancer about 20 years ago. She now has osteoporosis from all the chemo treatments which has caused severe problems with her hips. She fell about a year ago and has had 5 (yes FIVE) hip replacement surgeries in the past year! She just had surgery about a month ago and has developed severe infections. They had to go back in and take out the new hip and clean out all the infection. They sewed her back up and will have to put the hip replacement back in several months down the road. She can not walk. She is in a great deal of pain. She is very depressed. She wants to die. She mentioned to my brother that nobody ever sends her cards. Well, I know I have and my Mom has but maybe nobody else has. This has been going on for quite some time so people just get too busy. I would be most grateful if you would send her a card. I think it would really make her day and she has been in and out of the hospital for about the past 18 months. Please keep her in your prayers as well. Thanks so much!

Boo

I have another card with my favorite ghost! Got to get these stamps inky!!! This was rather simple. I just stamped the Boo and embossed with purple powder and added a few rhinestones in orange to match the paper.
I have a few projects that I have been working on and will try to post them soon. We have spent the past 2 days putting in a kitchen backsplash. I just have the grout and sealing left to do so hope to get that done tomorrow. And then it's clean-up time! What a mess! But, it's really beautiful and I love it! Maybe I will get a few pictures to post of it!
Hope you have a great weekend! See you back here soon!

Another Halloween Card

This card has lots of embossing with black powder. The bottom left corner has a Memory Box stamp embossed on the 2 different papers - kind of hard to see! The ghost is popping up behind a Trick or Treat embossed sign done on Tim Holtz paper. The spider web ribbon is from my stash and I distressed it a bit. The papers are Memory Box and Cosmo Cricket. That furry spider is also from my Halloween stash of last year!
Hope you are enjoying your day! I'm working on a glittery ornament and I think there is glitter from one end of my craft room to the other and all over me. What a mess it can be! But hopefully the project will turn out when I'm finished...not too sure at this point!

Merry Christmas!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! It is just absolutely gorgeous here and a great football game day. I could see the Air Force Academy flyover from my house so that's cool! I even saw the parachute jumper who brings the football to the game! Now, if I could just see the football game from my house...I'd be set...but I can't! So, between watching the AFA game, the Texas A &M game and playing in my craft room --- it's been a pretty good day!
Here is one of my accomplishments! I visited my LSS yesterday and of course came home with a few new toys. This is a new sizzix stamp AND embossing folder set. The image is stamped and then just put inside the embossing folder and embossed. I wanted to have the image in 2 colors so I used my Marvy markers. The sentiment (by Hero Arts) is also embossed in red.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Trick or Treat

It's been a beautiful week here in the Springs with cold mornings and the heat on and warmer afternoons and beautiful blue skies. I must say it is easier to get into the fall spirit with cooler temps. So, here is another Halloween card that is nowhere nearly as bright orange as my monitor shows!!! The witch is DP from Tim Holtz. I have used my various distressing inks on it. The "Eat it" is by Waltzingmouse Stamps. The embossed Halloween words on the black DP is by Memory Box. The spiderweb edging is a punch by Martha Stewart. And the metal disk is by Tim Holtz. Oh...the little bat at the bottom is a stick on diecut from last year.
I am really looking forward to making some Halloween cake pops soon! I made them last year and they were a BIG hit and so simple to do. And boy were they yummy!!! I hope to do a bunch of them for trick-or-treaters this year.
Have a great weekend!

Realtor cards

Here are a few cards I made for a realtor friend. They are all Stampingbella stamps that have been colored with Copics. I did a set of 6 of them to be packaged in a clear box with a bow.

We ventured out today to pick out tile for our kitchen backsplash and made a few stops after that. One stop was to Old Colorado City which I LOVE to go to. With hubby along...it's kind of hard to enjoy all the nice shops but I did tell him there were only 2 stores I HAD to go to. One was the stamp store and the other was the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! I just HAD to have a chocolate, pecan and caramel covered apple. YUM YUM! I bought a few FUN Holly Berry Stamps at the stamp store. If you are not familiar with their stamps...they can be made 3 dimensional with just lots of cutting and layering from one stamp. They have lots of stamps to make beautiful ornaments! I could have spent HOURS AND HOURS in that shop but Bill was sitting outside on a bench so I knew I had to be quick. I think I was in there for 15 minutes max and he thought it was hours! I grabbed 2 stamps and was on my merry way. Hopefully I can make time this weekend to play with them but I know they will require lots of time and lots of patience to make something worth posting!!! Have a great day!!!

Trick or treat

This month is flying by me! I am working on so many projects right now and it's hard to choose between them - as to which I want to work on most!!! But, I know I need to get some Halloween cards done so I have a few to post in the next few days. There are a variety of stamps on this card. The "trick or treat" emblem is a stamp as well as a die cut by Memory Box. They have lots of new things out that are on my wish list! The ghost print is by Northwoods. The BOO is by Waltzingmouse. The dark disk that doesn't show up too well is by Tim Holtz and it's from his Halloween collection. He has lots of great ones to use on cards. The plaid paper also has Halloween words that I stamped on it and then embossed in black. It shows up much better in real life. The papers are all from Cosmo Cricket.
I hope to be back tomorrow with some more goodies! See ya!

Trick or treat

Another Halloween card for you today. I could not resist Tim Holtz's new Halloween products. I cased his cards with several changes. His new papers are so awesome. They only come in a 12 x 12 pad. They are Kraft Resist papers so when you rub distress ink over them...magic occurs! I just love them! Of course I couldn't pass up all his new trinkets too! I added some krinkles under the skull. The black paper is Black Magic colorcore cardstock by Core'dinations. When you sand it, another color pops through. Unfortunately my sander is well loved so the color didn't come through as well as I had hoped. Guess I will have to hunt for another one! So, the next time you are in your favorite craft store...check out Tim's new goodies.
Hope you have a great week!

Trick or treat

It's fall here in Colorado which means Halloween is just around the corner. I always enjoy making Halloween cards even though I don't have many little ones to give them to anymore. So, my friends just have to get them cause I really like to make them!
The ghost stamp is by Peachy Keen. I just love the expression! The sentiment is by Memorybox and so is the DP. I had a leftover glittery circle from last year so stuck that on my card. The bat is one of those packaged die cuts with stickers on the back.
My company is gone for now...it's been a long month but hopefully I can get back into my cardmaking fun as the holidays are fast approaching. So...stay tuned and thanks for dropping by!

Just for You

This is the last in my 4 card series. Once again, I used K & Co papers and a stamped sentiment by SU to make a simple card. These papers are truly more gorgeous in real life and really make beautiful cards. Hope you have enjoyed this set. It's September already and it's cold here in Colorado so I think it's time to start thinking about the fall and winter cards. Christmas will be here before you know it! Have a great Labor Day holiday!

Happy Birthday

This is the third card in my set of 4. Again, it is K & Co. designer paper with a simple stamped sentiment by Inkadinkado. The ribbon is a silk ribbon made using my Bow Easy maker.
Hope you have a wonderful upcoming holiday weekend!
