Today I have a card I made for my niece who just graduated from NC State Univ and got her first BIG job. I wanted to do something a bit different from the usual graduation card so went with the Mickey theme. This was actually a cut out from some older cardstock I had in my stash. I added a Mickey sticker and some embellishments and of course a sentiment thaw worked so well with this (SU). Hope you have a fun day!</div>

I found this on my Silhouette and cut the file to make a card. It was a pretty quick and easy graduation card and I did it in the school colors so that makes it extra special! I put the red in the background so the card would show up better! Happy crafting!</div>

Well, I did a 100th birthday card for my hubby's grandma and 3 days before her birthday, she passed away. It was so sad. So, unfortunately I am having to do a sympathy card. Lots of diecuts here and bling to jazz it up a bit. </div>

Another day of snow here in Colorado on this 14th day of May! Gotta love it! This was a fun card to make for my niece who graduated from college this past week. She is from Atlanta and will be taking a job in Dallas, TEXAS. So, I really wanted to do something different for a graduation card for her and here it is. I added some western boots on the inside too! Fun fun! The stamps are all from an old set by Dee Gruenig. I have used this Texas set SO much and have always enjoyed it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Have a wonderful day!</div>

I am finally getting around to posting this! This is another Mother's Day card I made. It is with the new collection by Graphic 45, By the Sea. My Mom lives in Florida so hopefully this was suitable for her! It was certainly fun to make! Hope you had a nice Mother's Day! Thanks for dropping by!</div>

Today I have a birthday card for my husband's grandmother who will be turning 100 at the end of the month. This is a card with no stamping, just die cuts and computer sentiment. I used lots of dimensionals to layer the diecuts. The crocheted flower is from the $1 rack at the M craft store! Hope you enjoy your day!</div>

Today I have a Mother's Day card to share. I love all the new Graphic 45 papers and this is from one of the newer collections, Botanical Tea. I did some fussy cutting for the flower, butterfly and bird images. I added a diecut for the border and added lots of glitter to the images to jazz it up a bit. Simple and quick! Hope your day is happy!</div>

Today I am posting 2 projects I have made with Graphic 45 papers. This is an explosion box I made for my Mom's bday. The Graphic 45 papers are just beautiful! I made a total of 8 pockets on the inside of the box for inserting various cards into of stamped images, cutouts, or even a few of the cards in the package of papers. I added some rock candy glitter to the cut outs to glitz it up a bit. Such a fun project with some of my favorite papers! Happy Crafting!</div>

Today I have a card I made at the last minute for my father-in-law for his bday in 6 days! He is a lover of fishing and lighthouses and the NC coastline so this was perfect for him. Graphic 45 has these gorgeous new papers out and so much fun to do things with. This was a fun card to make...unlike most male cards I have done in the past! Thanks for dropping by. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It took me half the day to come up with this card for our Pastor on his 75th birthday...but it happened! Male cards are so hard to do. I came up with about 3 other ideas before this one and they all flopped...you know how it goes! Then this one hit me. My hubby is a pilot so this works well for us. The church is an embossing folder that I just blinged up a bit with snow on the water colored trees and some glitter on the church. I found an image of a Colorado SWA plane and cut it out to add to the card. I think Pastor will like it.</div>

This is a birthday card I made for my daughter-in-law who is a twin. It's a Magnolia stamp that I have been hunting for for quite some time. I colored it with Copics and used Spellbinders dies to frame it. Have a fun day!</div>

This is a fun project made using one stamp! The image is stamped and embossed several times. I glittered some of the design and painted some of it too. The butterfly image has been cut down each time to show more of the butterfly as it is layered on the base. It is a bit time consuming to do, but the results are amazing! The stamp is by Holly Berry House. Hope you have a fun day!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another card today! Simple Pleasures in Colorado Springs celebrated their 19th anniversary this weekend and this is one of two exclusive sets by Memory Box honoring their 19 years. This is a stamp set and a die set and has so many options. (you can order this set from Simple Pleasures too!) I used watercolor pencils to color it. I cut out each individual little flower and attached it to a base stamped and colored image... with dimensionals. There are a few petals that have dropped off the flower too! I have also glittered the image which is tough to see in the picture but adds so much to the finished look. I added rhinestones to the center of each flower too. The sentiment is by Verve Stamps and this card will be for a breast cancer patient...so perfect. Have a great day!</div>

Wow! I am finally posting something again! I have been fairly active in my craft room lately but mostly for cards that were desperately needed! I took a craft class this weekend at Holly Berry House in Colorado Springs and purchased this adorable stamp. I made it into a card that opens and the back of the card is the back of the bunny. The pictures do not do it justice as there is a bunch of glitter on the card. I colored it with water color pencils and glittered it. So much fun! I hope to be back again with the beautiful butterfly we did in class! See you soon and thanks for dropping by!</div>

I'm finally back with a Christmas card. This is made using Waltzingmouse stamps and dies. The mountains were stamped and then I added some snow to the mountain tops. The trees and houses are stamped and then some snowy glitz is added to the roofs. I added a few snowflake dies and punches. The sky is an embossing folder. Love how it turned out! Looks like the Springs today!!! Have a great day!</div>

I have been very anxious to do one of these bendie cards for the holidays. This one was quite fun to make. I used lots of those cute holiday buttons and just clipped the shank off of them so they would lay more flat. There are a few diecuts used by Memory Box and the snow was added with my snow pen that is almost gone! Hope I can find another one as I really like it. Happy holiday crafting!</div>

It is so good to be back in my craft room. I made many Halloween cards but did not have time to photograph them before mailing out. I did lots of the Prima Doll cards all dressed up for Halloween and I was very pleased with how they turned out. So, this is a card I just made this morning. Lots of die cuts used in this one. The little children are a cutting from Graphic 45 papers. I added snow to the window and lamp post. These are mostly Sizzix and Memory Box dies. The brick background is an embossing folder that I have distressed. Have a wonderful day and thanks for dropping by!</div>

I'm back with a fun holiday tag to share. The background was run through a mixture of several distress stains by Tim Holtz. I sprayed some gold mist in the stains as well. I dried the tag. Then I stamped several images with gold embossing ink. I embossed Tim's deer in gold. The pointsettia dies were also dabbed with distress stains and dried. I sprinkled some glitter in the stain too. I embossed a pearl in gold since I didn't have a gold bling for the center of the flower. The burlap ribbon is from HL. The tree stamps at the bottom is by Memory Box. The snowflakes stamp is by Tim Holtz. Have a fun crafty day!</div>

I am finally back with a holiday card. I have had 2 computers crash on me in the past few weeks so posting cards has been impossible. I am finally getting a few made though so that is good. This is a new "chalkboard stamp" by ODBD that I ordered and really like it. It is stamped in black on white paper thus the chalkboard look. The pointsettia and leaves are dies by Memory Box. I bought a bolt of this burlap ribbon to add to some of my cards. The papers are from my stash. Have a great day!</div>

Hope your fall day is going well! It is so beautiful here in Colorado...finally! It's been a rough year for us but hopefully we are on the mend and can stay out of the news for awhile. So, this is a fun die...cute bag to use for many occasions. Our LSS has kraft paper that is a good weight for these bags. I added a few stickers to the front and made a tag (which I forgot to pull out of the bag to include in the picture - sorry). There is a bit of tulle behind the bag. Quick and easy! <br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/249/3906136C845F1532968A380FCBA3EF27.png" style="background: transparent; border: 0 !important;" /></a>Sherry Phippshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15702637976641040636noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394726445351009691.post-34841766801687675732013-09-30T18:20:00.000-07:002013-09-30T18:20:05.160-07:00Wedding card<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here is a wedding card I made using a Lily of the Valley stamp. The papers are leftovers from a kit I ordered from Button Farm. They are Kaisercraft papers. The cut out behind the wedding couple is also from those same papers. I added a little SU stamped tag and some bling and ribbons. This will go with the little book I made for them using these papers.<br />
Happy crafting!<br />

Today I have a Bohemian Bazaar Card to share made with Graphic 45 papers. It is one of those trifold stair step cards that are easy to make and the directions for various ones can be googled. I just cut the papers to fit the folds and added embellishments. The butterflies are 3D stickers from my stash that tied in well with the colors of the papers. Have a great weekend! </div>

This is a quick frame I made for our Cadet's Moms when they were here a few weeks ago for Parents Weekend. I had some dollar frames laying around and put one coat of acrylic blue paint on them. Then I picked up a deck of cards at the AFA and cut pictures from the cards to put on the frame. I had a few embellishments I also added to get some bling in there!!! And then I FORGOT to give them to them!!! I did manage to get one Mom as she was getting in her car so that was good...maybe the other two will make great xmas gifts! Have a fun day!<br /><a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/249/3906136C845F1532968A380FCBA3EF27.png" style="background: transparent; border: 0 !important;" /></a>Sherry Phippshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15702637976641040636noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394726445351009691.post-75722593437689088372013-08-05T18:05:00.001-07:002013-08-05T18:05:37.184-07:00More Christmas Tags<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is my last in this series of holiday tags. Again, these were made from large 12 x 12 papers that usually had one decorative side to it. I cut tags from the sides and then added embellishments, ribbons, diecuts and bling. These really went quickly which is what I love about them as my time is getting very short for projects I really want to get done for the holiday season.<br />
Happy crafting!<br />
