Chrismas Pocket Card

This is a pocket card I made for a special order. The card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" but the top if folded down about 1 1/4". I punched a border for the fold-down edge and tied a ribbon all the way around the card to secure it. The inside edges were adhered using the red tape that sticks things permanently! The gingerbread house is a $1 stamp from Michael's. It is colored with Copics and mounted on 2 Nesties. The red and black print DP is by Paper Pizazz. The inside of the pocket is a smaller card stamped with a Papertrey Ink stamp. The Candy Cane is a $1 Michael's stamp that is stamped and then cut out and mounted on the card. Have a great halloween! My Muffy dog is going to be a ladybug and my daughter's dog is coming over and she will be a bumble bee. They love to help me pass out goodies to all the cute little boys and girls. Have a great one and don't eat too much candy!!!

My Favorite Halloween Card

I am finally able to publish this card! I think the recipients have probably received theirs. I just love it! The stamps are by Impression Obsession. I colored the image with my Copic markers and then distressed the edges. The papers are by Debbie Mum from last year. This is my most favorite Halloween card! The inside reads, "Best Witches!" and is really cute but I never took a picture of it. Sorry! Have a wicked Halloween!

Set of 4 cards

This is a set of 4 cards I made using Debbie Mum holiday papers from last year. The penguin images are all cut from a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. I backed them with cardstock and mounted them on various Debbie Mum DP's. I added a few ribbons and stamps. They are all glittery images which makes them more fun! I love how they turned out! Have a great day!

Merry Christmas Metallic Card

Another metallic card! I haven't used too much silver in my cards so this one is different and I like how it turned out. Santa is mounted on some navy cardstock. The sentiment stamp is by Justrite stamps and is double stamped so I could punch out the center and pop it up. My glitter buttons had to be glued on because the sticky came off so it looks like they may have moved a bit after they dried. Darn! Guess I will have to try to fix that! Have a great day!

Metallic Madness!

Here's a few more metallic Christmas cards. The pictures certainly do not do these justice! The images were each cut from a full sheet of 8 or 10 images. I mounted them on cardstocks and metallic papers. The gold card has a Justrite stamped sentiment. Hope you have a great day. More tomorrow!!!

Santa Metallic Cards

I'm back to doing some more metallic cards. I just think they are so elegant and rich looking! These are images that were cut out from a sheet of metallic paper. I mounted them on cardstock and solid metallic papers. There is also a metallic sentiment on the snowman card that was cut out from a whole sheet of sentiments. It is also mounted on more metallic paper in gold and then popped up on a gray ribbon. I have more to show you tomorrow so come back and visit!

Frosty

Another "snow" card today! Frosty is a Justrite Stamp that I have stamped 2 times. I colored the outer edges with Marvy markers in red and green. The center is cut from the second image and Frosty is colored with Copics and then popped up with dimensionals. The edges are distressed a bit. The background is a snowflake embossing folder by Cuttlebug. The bottom of the card is scored with the sentiment by Papertrey Ink inside the lines. Have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas Wishes

I'm back from Colorado and I made a few snow cards since I actually got to see a FULL day of snow while there!!! We had temps in the mid 80's for a few days and then the next day the high was 28 with lots of snow!!! That's Colorado for you! Blink your eye and the weather changes! I don't believe I will be wearing those winter clothes again while back in Arizona. It's hot here!
SO...here is a card made with my Cuttlebug embossing folder. I covered the roof tops with glittery snow. I punched out a big snowflake and covered it in glitter. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. I will be making lots of these for special orders.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Cherry Birthday!

This is another new Hero Arts stamp that just came out! It reminds me of Mary Engelbreit! I stamped the image and colored everything with my copics. Then I stamped another image of the cherries and colored them, cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. I'm not sure who makes the red paper but it's pretty easy to find. The punch is a Martha Stewart punch. The yellow paper is from my stash of scraps. Have a cheery day!

Happy Birthday!

I'm in Colorado now and it's 82 degrees today and beautiful. I think it will be cooler the rest of the week - I hope so!!! I'm ready for some cooler air!

Another Hero Arts stamp! This was stamped in red and then the sentiment was stamped separately onto the image. It is a Papertrey Ink stamp. The red flowers are colored with Copics and then colored with a glitter pen. The medallion is popped up on an embossed background by Cuttlebug. It is also distressed with Ranger inks. I used a punch to make holes to run the ribbon through and added a double bow. Papers are by SU. Have a great day!

Red Flower!

I got a bunch of new Hero Arts Cling Stamps that just came out and have been really enjoying them. This is one of them. It's a very simple image to color with Copics. I distressed the background a bit. There is a gray punched border on the side with little tiny silver rhinestones in each circle! The papers are by SU and I just love them! I may add a sentiment when I actually use it and know what sentiment I need! Have a beautiful day!

Sleigh Ride

I always love it when I can take a beautiful border from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper and make a card from it. That is what I did here. This is K & Company paper from the Christmas Cheer pad of paper. I couldn't resist using this corner of a page! The stamped image is from Just Rite Stamps and is colored with Copics and distressed. It is popped up and mounted on the Bazzill cardstock. The ribbon is also Bazzill. I got lots of papers and ribbons from the annual Bazzill warehouse sale in Mesa a few weeks ago. If you live in the Phoenix area - it's a great sale to go to! Have a great day!

Snowy Christmas

Another Christmas card! I don't think I can ever get tired of making them! This is the first year that I haven't done just one or two cards in mass production. I started in July making cards and have done several each week. I probably already have more than I will need - yet I keep making them. That's ok...I have friends who are always wanting to buy them.
This card makes me think of a snowy day in Colorado! The trees are stamps by Papertrey Ink. They are cut out and popped up. The snowflakes are each colored with a glittery pen. The stars are also a stamp by Papertrey Ink that are also colored with a glittery pen. I distressed the background a bit. They are mounted on Spellbinder's dies. The background paper is glittery gorgeous by K & Company. The bow is SILK ribbon by Sharon Johnson. The tag on the bow is also stamped with a Papertrey stamp. Have a great day!

Metallic Ornament

This is just a gorgeous card and so much fun to make! It is all done with metallic papers and gold rub ons. I peeled off each layer of the gold ornament and placed it on the metallic paper. I then layered them and popped each layer up with dimensionals. All of the gold rub-ons/stick-ons are by Dazzles. The borders are also rub-ons. I added a bow to the ornament and a glittery pearl to the center of the flower.
Colorado is cool today but I'm loving it!!! Have a great day!

Holiday Trees in Threes

These 3 trees were actually cut from designer paper. The papers are by Basicgrey, the Wassail collection. I cut the trees and then made a tree trunk with ribbon. The stars are punched out. The lacy edging is also a punch. The papers are all by Basicgrey and Bazzill. Pretty simple!

Colorado is rather cool today! It was about 45 degrees today and it looks like it is going to snow! It's quite a change from the past 2 days where it was in the low 80's! Tomorrow it will be colder! Have a cool day!!!

A Happy Christmas

I got too busy on another major holiday project yesterday so didn't get time to post anything. I have lots of cards to post but will save them for when I am gone next week.
This is from Grahic 45's Christmas Past Collection. It's a punch out! I punched out the center image and popped it up with dimensionals. The outer frame is mounted on gold metallic paper. There is a beautiful SILK ribbon from Sharon Johnson that I threaded under the image and tied in a bow. This is just so elegant! Have a great day!

Snowmen

Aren't these the cutest guys? I just love them! They are by Firecracker Designs. I stamped the image and then colored and cut it out. One of the signs is also stamped twice and then popped up - and I like that better! I just cut out a few hills for him to stand on. I thought about putting some snow all over but didn't want the mess and I'm sure the recipient will be thankful. The background paper is by Paper Salon - if I remember right! I'm heading to Colorado next week so maybe I will have the opportunity to see some of these guys in real life!!! Wouldn't that be fun! It's supposed to be back up to 98 this weekend in Phoenix so it will be nice to get away to some cooler temps!

Easel card

I've been wanting to try these "easel" cards and I think this will be a style of card I will do more often! I needed an anniversary card so found this K & Company paper in my stash. I embossed some SU hearts with clear embossing powder 4 times. I then just cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals. I added pearls to the hearts for added elegance. The punched border is by Martha Stewart. The button on the base holds the top part of the card up and open. The sentiment was also stamped and embossed. I made a double bow with my BowEasy to tie it all together! Have a great day!

Another Thanksgiving Card!

Hope you're having a great day!!! I used my 50% off coupon for Michael's today and got me some Tim Holtz scissors! They are WONDERFUL!!! They really make a big difference when cutting out stamps mounted on EZ Mount. The gooey mess is gone! I don't know how I managed without them!!!

I've had several requests for Thanksgiving cards so I'm busy trying to get some made. Here is another one...
This card was made using the Just Rite stamps. I colored the pumpkins with my Copics. I stamped it twice and cut out the center and popped it up with dimensionals. I added a few punched leaves to the sides. The ribbon is made with my BowEasy. The papers are SU. Have a great week and see you tomorrow!

Vintage Thanksgiving Card

I hope you are having a great weekend! I am sneaking in another Thanksgiving card I just made. I got the image from a pad of seasonal images by Crafty Secrets. I just love them! So, this was a simple card. The background paper was embossed with a SU embossing plate that my friend gave me. I think it's going to become a favorite of mine! It can be used for so many different occasions. The papers are SU and Bazzill. The ribbon is SU. I have another Thanksgiving card to post tomorrow so come back and visit!

Masculine Birthday Card

This was a tough card to dream up! My brother-in-law's birthday is coming up real quick and I needed something sports related for him. I ALWAYS have a tough time with men's cards but this one came together rather nicely for a change. I had several single sports ball stamps and stamped each of them and then just colored the images with my Copics. I then cut them out and mounted them on some distressed paper. The balls are stamps by Stampabilities. The sentiments are all one stamp that I have cut apart and popped up with dimensionals. It is a Great Impressions stamp and is perfect for him! The papers are all by SU. I hope he likes it! Have an awesome day!
