Happy 4th of July!

I'm having so much fun with my Honey Pop paper. I got brave and cut out a star for the inside of my card! Not too shabby! You'll see the same stamps once again - got to try to use these stamps more than once - by Stampendous. The pennants are Hero Arts. Those stars are Martha's punches that I got quite some time ago. The DP on the front of the card was from my scrap stash.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

4th of July Slider Card

Another 4th of July card here! This is a slider card - my first. I purchased a kit of the Kraft body parts for the slider card at my LSS. The company is Pine Cone Press. It was simple to put together. After that it was just a matter of embellishing the cards that slide out and the outside covering. My stamps are by Stampendous for Archiver's. All of the papers are from a patriotic pad by We R Memory Keepers. The pad even has small cut outs to use and I did use one.
Have a great summer day!

Toads

When I saw these stamps, I had to get them. We have been hearing a big toad in our backyard in the evenings but just can't seem to find him. The landscapers are here today so he better find a new home for awhile while they are digging up our yard.
These stamps are more of the Inky Antics collection that I have fallen in love with. I have 3 sets of them and luv'em!!! The inside of the card uses the HoneyPop paper for the mushroom. All of the stamps used are in the set. The DP is by My Mind's Eye - Lime Twist. The white lattice work is a Martha Stewart punch.
Have a great week!

Holy Cow!

Well guess what? That cow you see up there was right next to the fence in my yard! Yes, A COW! What a surprise! Yes, we do live out in the country but our development does not allow "large animals". I knew that we were on the outside border of our development but I didn't know there was a ranch beside us! I guess it is actually further up the hill but the cows seem to be wandering down this way lately. That's mighty fine as long as they don't start stinking. When we lived in Germany, our village smelled of cow manure all day everyday and summers were brutal! I pray that doesn't happen here. I don't think it will. They are pretty cute cows!

So, the card is one I made for my nephew who has a 4th of July birthday and the red hair that goes with it. He's a firecracker! I saw the stamps and knew I had to make him a card. It's just so perfect for a birthday on the 4th. It's by Stampendous (for Archiver's). I added the "birthday" on the inside from another stamp. The pennants are by Hero Arts. I wanted to put some sparkle on the icing but was afraid that would girly it up too much and he is going to be 28 so he might not like that. The papers are by We R Memory Keepers.
Hope you have a great weekend! My daughter and her husband are coming down and we will venture up to the mountains for some fun!

Inchworm

Today I ventured out to a scrapbook/stamping store that I have not been to yet since our recent move to Colorado Springs. Simple Pleasures was heaven on earth! I only had about 30 minutes to spend there but I somehow managed to spend about $70 in that short time. This is a card made with some of my goodies! The stamps are by Inky Antics and are just too cute! The inside of the card was made with honeycomb paper!!! It is called HoneyPop and is also by Inky Antics. I don't know who came up with this idea for cards...but I love it! My only problem with making this card was that my white cardstock needed to be heavier so that my markers didn't bleed through to the front of the card. My solution to that little problem was to mount the inside of the card on the yellow cardstock used for the outside of the card.
It was in the high 50's, low 60's today! This is my kind of summer!!!
Have a great weekend!

Realtor Card

Hope your day is going well! I'm SO enjoying the cooler temps here in Colorado. If I were still in Arizona I know it would be miserable about now but it's heavenly here in Colorado. There has been some record heat in Colorado Springs but we are usually about 10 degrees cooler up here in Black Forest so it's perfect summer weather! Our neighbors have never used their AC units so I'm looking forward to that!
So...here is a card for my AZ realtor who did a fine job for us even though it was a horrible roller coaster ride for several months. The market in our area is horrible and still getting worse so we were glad to depart. This is a Stampin Bella stamp and I just fell in love with it. I'm going to send a set of these to Barb as a thank-you from us. She did so much for us. It was a pretty simple card with a little Copic coloring and a few Nesties. I think the papers are SU.
Enjoy your day!

Another Happy Father's Day Card!

As promised...here is another Father's Day card. The colors show up poorly as the base cardstock is the Kraft paper cardstock (I think that is what it is called!). It's all in khaki tones but it appears more gray. The stamp is an older SU stamp. The DP is a Father's Day paper by TPC Studio. The twine gives it a masculine touch.
Busy day so this will be it for today. I do have another card I will post as time permits. Stay tuned!!! Have a great week!

Happy Father's Day!

Hello my friends! I know it's been a long time since I last posted. I have been so busy with our new house and trying to get window treatments sewn up. It's a very time consuming task and our odd shaped "eyebrow" windows make it difficult as well. I have finished one window but it's a big window so that is good. It was very difficult too so I am glad to have it behind me. When my hubby comes home tomorrow we will work on mounting my next window treatment. I had to take a break from my sewing and brainstorming to do a few Father's Day cards. So, here is the first one! The cute guy is by Paper Smooches - a new company by Kim Hughes. She does some really cute stamps too! The papers are by KaiserCraft. I have my sewing machine set up so I zig-zagged the edges of the one cardstock piece! The sentiment is by Hero Arts. That's a big toothpick holding the banner! When I get the next card made, I'll be back! Thanks for dropping by!
