Gold Christmas Cards
As promised...a few more Christmas cards! These are simple cards with just one image that is gold embossed. I used gold metallic papers to tie them all together. The cards are a very heavy pearlized cardstock used for wedding invitations. It is gorgeous paper and perfect for holiday cards as well. The gold borders are punched with MS punches. How simple is that!
Hope all the east coast bloggers are digging out from the wet snows. What a mess that was! Hope everything is back to normal soon for you all.
Have a great week! See you again soon with more goodies!

Sending Happy Thoughts
We have a close friend from our military days who is also now a pilot with SWA. He was riding in a van to the hotel after his flight when it got tee-boned by a stolen Mercedes. The driver and passenger left the scene and they did not find them. Our friend is in intensive care in the hospital with severe injuries. It is so sad. So, here is a card for him. We pray for a speedy recovery.
The Snoopy stamp is an old stand-by stamp I use frequently for our pilot friends and family. It's by Stampabilities. The papers are SU. The sentiment is also Stampabilities.
Hope you enjoy your day!

Quick and easy holiday cards
Just a few more quick and easy cards for the holiday season! These are all from the Lost and Found Christmas pad by My Mind's Eye. I love this pad of paper and somehow I ended up with 2 pads (guess I really really liked it!) so I'm making lots of cards with these papers. The embellishments are from K & Co. and the ornament is actually a diecut cut from fabric. I whipped up about 5 more easy cards today so I hope to post some more tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend!

Woof!
Oh...was this card fun to make!!! It's like cutting out paperdolls again. I found it on Aimee Asher's website (aimeeasher.com) where she has lots of cards and crafts that you just print and put together. There was a lot of cutting on this particular card and lots of dimensionals used to pop it all up. But, it is the absolute cutest card and I had a Westie so this card is extra special to me. I think I can find lots of people to give it to. The print out includes lots of options for various occasions. There is also an envelope as well but didn't get a picture of it.
We are finally getting our big snowstorm today but I must say I'm a bit disappointed! I don't think we got as much as they had thought but then again, it is still snowing so maybe it will accumulate before it is all over. I felt so sorry for all the cows that came by today. We have woods right beside our lot so they were huddling over in the woods to stay warm. And when I went outside they ALL just looked at me with the saddest eyes. So, I had to do something for them. I had some fresh broccoli and a bunch of celery so that was their treat. A few of them ate it but the ones I tossed over the fence went right into the snow and got buried so I don't think they will find it until tomorrow. I thought the ranchers would come take the cows back to the ranch for the winter but it hasn't happened yet. They have no shelter from the cold here or a barn with food for days like this. I'm a city girl so this cow stuff is all new to me!
On another note...I won 21 yards of 1 1/2" silk crinkled ribbon on "No time to Stamp" blog by Sharon Johnson. I am a HUGE fan of hers and love everything she does. I also purchase all my silk ribbons from her so was THRILLED to see that I won some! Thank you Sharon!!!

Blessings
This may be the only Thanksgiving card I get done this year but I had to try it! This is an Outlines stamp and it is actually all colored in - unlike how it appears. The scarecrow part of the image is actually popped up with dimensionals. There was more coloring than I like to do on this stamp but I think I can just cut the images apart next time for smaller stamps.
Hope your Monday was beautiful like our was. Almost 80 degrees in parts of the Springs but that will end real soon as we are expecting lots of snow on Tues night or Wed. I'm looking forward to it!
Have a fun and crafty week!

Christmas cards
Hope you are enjoying your day! Here are a few simple cards that look more beautiful in real life. The DP is from My Mind's Eye 6 x 6 pad. These 2 cards were made from a half sheet of this paper. Many of the pages in this pad have borders like this one and make it so easy to put together beautiful cards. I stamped a sentiment. I added a 3D embellishment from K & Co. It just couldn't be simpler!!! More to come!

NAVY Wings Card
My son is in the NAVY and will get his wings on Friday. It's been a long time coming (25 years!) but the day will finally arrive this week. He has wanted to be a pilot since he was 18 months old when he got to climb the steps up into his Daddy's F-16 in his little pilot suit. So, this is a card I made for him to commemorate the occasion. The NAVY seal is embossed in Navy ink. I cut the wings out from an image I found on the computer. The stars were embossed with a Sizzix folder. The inside of the card has SOLDIER embossed on the navy cardstock with a verse. I think it turned out pretty nice.
I have lots of cards in my stash that I whipped up last week so hopefully I will find time to post them this week. We are in the process of buying a Colorado Snow car so will be doing that this week. We are supposed to get snow on Tues or Wed so hopefully we will be prepared for it. We got our snowblower last week so BRING IT ON!
Have a great weekend!

Oh Christmas Tree!
Here is another Christmas card for you! I embossed the tree in burgundy and then distressed the edges in green. The xmas presents and Santa area all K & Co 3D embellishments that are all popped out - wish you could see that! It's all mounted on a pearl shimmery cardstock that is so beautiful and many of my cards this year will be made with it.
Well, we had a warm weekend but right now it is snowing! We got our snowblower last week - it's still in the box! We bought a Subaru to get around in the heavy snows that Black Forest seems to get. Now we just need to sell our beautiful, like new, under warranty JEEP! The dealership offered us very little for it and we just laughed because it's a perfect car with absolutely nothing wrong with it. Why would we give it away! So, we will hold on to it until we sell it and if we don't sell it....well, we will just have 3 cars.
Have a great fall day!

A few holiday cards
I'm afraid this year is disappearing faster than I want it to! It's amazing how much faster the end of the year goes than the beginning of the year! How does that happen! Well, here are a few Christmas cards that I really enjoyed making. The first is just a half sheet of 6 x 6 paper from Lost and Found Christmas by My Mind's Eye. No stamping. I added the K & Co. 3D sticker and a ribbon. I just love how elegant it is with minimal work!!! The second card was embossed with the white and silver snowy glitter. I then colored in the trees. I embossed the cottage in silver and then colored it with Copics and popped it up on the snow scene. The DP is Webster Pages. The stamps are Hero Arts, Waltzingmouse Stamps and Great Impressions.
Hope your weekend was great! Thanks for dropping by!

Holiday Greetings!
I wanted to do a really simple card with a cute reindeer set I have and this is what I came up with. The reindeer is from Craft Lounge and has a whole set of really cute reindeer. They are all very festive and ready for your holiday cards!
I have lots more of simple cards coming your way. My time is very limited for stamping so cards are getting simpler! I am finding that the beautiful papers really CAN make a card. So, that's what my cards will be this year!
Looks like I will have a house full this Thanksgiving - which is not the norm for us. Usually I'm home alone and we celebrate whenever we have hubby home. But, this year he managed to get Thanksgiving week off so it will be fun having the whole family around and maybe some cold weather too.
See you tomorrow!

Set of cards
What a difference a week can make! We had 9" of snow last weekend and this weekend I have my windows open!!! Crazy Colorado weather - but I love it!
So here is a set of cards I cased and just love how they turned out. They were embossed with a SU embossing folder and then the centers of the flowers were dotted with my Copic markers. I stamped a sentiment on the lower right corner and tied a ribbon around the bottom edge. I saw these on Patricia Gorka's blog but somehow lost her blog address. A big thank-you to her for her creative idea! I always like to have sets of cards on hand for quick gifts.

Fun Projects
Two fun projects here today. I was rummaging through all my stash and ran across one of those cheap $1 wood frames. I decided to decorate it with some of my scraps! My son is completing pilot training in the Navy so I decided to do a frame for one of his photos. It's really just a hodge podge of anything I could find to glue down! It took all of MAYBE and hour to do!
The second photo is made with a Holly Berry Stamp. I stamped the image many times and then embossed it in gold. I then just applied glitter and cut out the various layers and popped them up with dimensionals so it is 3D. It's a little more work than I would spend on an average card but it was fun! I must say I won't be doing these for many people - sorry!!!
Have a great day!

Get Well Card
Well, the 9" of snow we had yesterday is almost gone today! It has always amazed me how fast snow disappears here in Colorado. The temps never got above 33 yesterday or last night but when I woke up this morning...it was nearly gone. My driveway is bare. We haven't gotten a snowblower yet and I didn't shovel it!
So, I seem to be needing lots of Get Well cards lately. Guess that is a sign of getting old! This was a fun one to make and I liked it so much that I made another one very similar! It's Cosmo Cricket papers and Papertrey Ink stamps. I went down to my TEA stash and found the perfect tea bag to put inside the card! Too cute!
Hope you are enjoying your long weekend! Stop by again!

October Snows!
Christmas Card
This is a quick card made with one pointsettia stamp that has been embossed and cut out a few times for a 3D look. The papers are from my last year's stash. The red is not as shocking as it looks in my photo online...it looks much better in real life.

Halloween Fun!
This is a little project I've been working on. I'm not a quilter but enjoy doing small projects. I have always loved applique work and did lots and lots of it when my daughter was younger. I decided to do a block of the month programs for these cute little quilts. This is the October quilt. I have since gotten a wire frame to hang it from so it looks much cuter! I got out all my Halloween decorations this week and the weather has gotten much cooler so I'm enjoying the fall season for the first time in 12 years!

Happy Birthday
I have lots of birthdays coming up in the next few months and this one was definitely a last minute job. With all my tile work I did this past work...other things just got left undone. So, here is a birthday card I made late last night and had in the mail this morning! I seem to be doing lots of these cards where the paper does most of the work. There are just so so many beautiful papers out there that are so well suited to cards like this. I did do a fancy interior but forgot to take a picture of it before mailing it. I believe these are Memory Box papers.
Hope everyone got to take advantage of the big Archiver's sale today (Monday) where all patterned papers were 43% off! I think I bought 9 pads of paper!!! I love paper just like I love fabric!
Hope you have a great day!

Holly Berry Bell
This is an ornament that was stamped with a Holly Berry Stamp. I stamped it 5 times, then embossed it and applied glue and glitter and then put it all together. There are tabs on the sides to put it together. Yes, it was a bit time consuming mostly because of all the glitter. But it's pretty simple to do. I had no idea when I started what colors I would use as this is my first attempt at her stamps. If you are ever in Colorado Springs...the Holly Berry House stamp shop is worth the trip. They have samples all over the store that will just blow you away. Most of their work is 3D and just out of this world. I could have stayed there for hours but I had my hubby sitting on a bench out front so I had 15 minutes. I have learned not to take him with me when I go again!!!
Have a great day and I have lots of things that I haven't posted and lots in my plans....we'll see how that goes!

Treat Bag
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I've spent the last 4 days putting a backsplash in our kitchen. And my hands are paying dearly for it. I have actual holes on the tips of all my fingers from the grouting - and no I didn't use gloves like I should have! My fingers are so so sore and swollen and my hands and arms are raw and rashy! So, typing this is very hard and painful. This is a treat bag I did about a week ago. I found these bags at Target last year and just stamped an image and embellished the bag. The bag is full of goodies so it's a big lopsided!
I will cut this short today as my fingers are killing me! Have a great weekend!
