Wedding Stuff

I am deeply saddened to report that my daughter has decided to elope. I'm sure as crafters, that you know how much time, talent and love went into making each and every part of the wedding creations I have been telling you about for the past several months. The financial loss is tremendous as well as all the time spent trying to make her day very special. Needless to say, I have tons of beautiful wedding creations that I am pretty much stuck with. If you know of anyone who will be getting married and would be interested in purchasing some of the items I have made...pass along my info to them. We also have a beautiful wedding dress in a size 6. I can send pictures of that if you are interested.

So, today I will share a few of the items I have made. I will try to combine several photos on one posting so that I won't be posting these things forever!

The first photo is our "Save the Date" card. I printed everything on the computer and then stamped the butterfly afterwards. The ivory papers have a pearlized sheen to them - gorgeous stuff! The second photo is the wedding invitation closed and tied. The folders were purchased at Papers and More (online) and their service and shipping was outstanding!!! The edging is a Martha Stewart border punch. I used 2 different designs which is why you see two different ones in the photos. Again, it was all printed on the computer and then cut to fit the pockets. The pictures do not show the true beauty of these!

  1. So sorry to hear your sad news. I've been working several months on my son's wedding invitations. I know what you have gone through to get them made. It's such a shame that these kids don't appreciate the time, money and love that goes into something homemade like this. I feel so bad for you because I've also been hurt in this process. I hope the couple at least offers to help compensate you for the supplies you used. -Mikesgal

  2. Sherry, I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. Your invitations look so beautiful to and you can see the love and pride that you put into them making to too!

  3. Oh my goodness! The things you've made for the wedding are just gorgeous! You must be so very disappointed with how things came out with the wedding and elopement! My heart goes out to you. I just found your Blog and am delighted to see your creations. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Have just stumbled across your absolutely beautiful wedding creations! I am so sorry to hear that your daughter eloped and all the time and love you put into these creations was wasted. If my mum had made this sort of effort for me, there is no way I would have done that.
I hope also that she compensates you, not only financially, but emotionally as well. I feel she owes you one big appology!! I am sure there is a bride out there who would love these creations at her wedding. You are an awesome crafter and an awesome mum to do all this for your daughter!!

  5. Can you tell me where you found the folders you used?

  6. I love all your wedding stuff, my daughter is getting married in Sept and she wants this style of invitation card. What is is called? Or where can I find instructions for it. Also would love more information on the wedding book you made.
