Easter Blessings

This card was made using a stencil and chalks. I then cut it out and applied a little glitz to the centers of the flowers and attached it to the Swiss Dots embossed paper. This was a pretty simple card to make, yet very elegant.

Easter Purse

I made an Easter purse using the Carousel purse idea on SCS. This was so much fun to make. The stamps are mostly from Michael's and the bunny is from Penny Black. The eggs were the most fun to make. I went to a Stamping Show today and learned this technique. You ink up the stamp with regular ink. Then put "Angelina Hot Fix Fibers" on top of the stamp. Then put a sheet of parchment paper (I used the leftover slick paper from EZ Mount) on top and press with an iron until you see the stamp design come through. TA DA...it is done!!! It is so awesome and beautiful! Perfect for these Easter eggs too! The cute ladybug has dimensionals under her wings so she is ready to take off!. There are pockets with cards inside on each end. There is also a tag in a nestability circle pocket for added fun. The purse is closed with a snap from Home Pro. Stay tuned for more projects with my new fibers!!! Can't wait to try more things!

A birthday card from Muffy

Our Muffy dog wanted to send a card to Brandon for his 25th birthday next week. She did a great job, didn't she!!! I got these stamps from Sugar Nellie's in Scotland and had to have them because they were so typical of our Muffy. She is the Queen of the house and loves birthdays. The papers are all SU. The little birdie is singing Happy Birthday and that stamp is a DeNami Design stamp. I just used the sentiment on it. Another Male Birthday Card!

Well, I finally made time to work on another card. It's been so warm here that we started doing some spring yard work. We've actually had our AC on inside!!! Hard to believe with some of the country deep in snow!!! Arizona is great!
This is a card I made for my nephew. He is in 8th grade so it's hard to do cards for boys at that age. I think he'll like this one though. The card opens up in the center under the balloon. I put a Home Pro snap under the balloon because otherwise it just flapped open and I didn't like that. These are all stamps by Dee Gruenig. I used some clear stamps to stamp Happy Birthday inside the clouds. I think this is my last male card for March. I have 2 coming up in early April so guess I will be starting on those in a couple weeks.

Male Birthday Card

Birthday cards for males are not my cup of tea! This is one I did and it is "ok". It's a SU stamp and SU papers. There is a ribbon down the center of the striped paper that is not really obvious in the photo but it does add a lot. The old truck is popped up with dimensionals and edged with distressing ink. Overall, I am happy with it! Have a great day!

It's a great week...

for my son! He just got word that he has a PILOT slot in the Navy! It has been a life long dream of his to fly airplanes like his Dad. I have pictures of him when he was 18 months old in a flight suit I made him, standing by an F-16 with his Dad. His dream is finally coming true and he will be flying airplanes in the Navy. He is currently working for NASA and he will have front row seats for the next shuttle launch on March 12th. So this will be a nice way to finish his NASA career and begin his career with the Navy. SO>>>this is a card I made to congratulate him! Of course I have airplane stamps on hand with my husband being a pilot so this one seemed to be the most appropriate for the occasion. I colored it with COPIC markers and wrote NAVY on the front. The other stamp is from SU. The tiny airplanes on the inside of the card are punches I've had for years.

Another Baby Book

This is another baby book I made for a friend. I bought the star shaped chipboard book and then just covered the pages with DP and embellishments. Most of the papers are from Nana's Nursery Baby Boy collection of papers by DCWV. I used an assortment of stamps and embellishments. I took the original coil out of the book and used my Bind-it-all to put in a white coil. This also allowed me to put the papers all the way to the edges.
