Baby Book

This is another book I just made for a new baby. It is put together with media folders purchased from Uline. There are 3 that are glued together and then all the pages and pockets are embellished. There are 3 big tags in the first folder and the last folder. The middle folder has 3 of the SU envelopes with special verses on them. The papers are all from SU which makes it easy. Hope you have a great week!

GRAD BOOK

This is a busy year for graduations and weddings! I keep thinking the end is near and then forget that the east coast kids are in school until June! So, they just keep coming! This is a cute little book I did for a close friend's daughter whom I've known for over 22 years. We met at one of our duty stations while our husbands were in the military. We have kept up though all these years! I made the book with 2 chipboards for the front and back covers and the pages are just glued on file folder paper to give them more weight. There are lots of places for her to add photos and memorabilia and I have also added lots of embellishments and doo dads! These are so much fun to make! I hope to get back a bit sooner and post another book I made. It's a birthday book. I have been so busy making a bolero type jacket for a formal. I bought the dress but wanted a jacket to go over it. I made the jacket and then have been sewing tons of beads on it to match the dress. It is really turning out cute - but it's lots of work and I'm enjoying every minute of it!

I'm not sure how to get this picture up with the others so if you have any suggestions...please let me know! Have a great weekend and remember our fallen heroes!

Another Baby Book

This is another baby book I made for a friend. I bought the star shaped chipboard book and then just covered the pages with DP and embellishments. Most of the papers are from Nana's Nursery Baby Boy collection of papers by DCWV. I used an assortment of stamps and embellishments. I took the original coil out of the book and used my Bind-it-all to put in a white coil. This also allowed me to put the papers all the way to the edges.

Baby Book

This is a 6 X 6 Baby Book I did for some friends who will soon be Grandparents! Their daughter is expecting a baby boy any day now. She is actually about a week late now so hopefully she won't be like me and have to be 2 weeks late! That's not fun! Anyways...this was fun to do. I used lots of stamps and embellishments. The next post will have some of the inside pages. I also made a scrapbook for the parents and maybe I will post that tomorrow. Have a great day!

Birthday Card in a Box

Here is a Birthday Card that I did for a friend. The first picture shows how the card is accordian styled and folds up into the box. The second picture is of the box closed up. The ribbon on the top holds the box all together and can be taken off.

Sketch Book

I made something for me today! I decided I wanted to put the SCS challenges in a book so I wouldn't have to look them up on the computer to get ideas. I got this paper free from a new scrapbook store that opened here recently and thought it would be perfect for this since it had a beautiful design on it and didn't require a lot of stamping. The paper is by Deja Views. The letters are chipboard and are colored with copic markers. The swirls are die cuts from Sizzix. I put the DP on some of the heavy cardboard that comes with the SU papers. I just cut it to the size I needed and then used my "Bind-it-all" to put it all together. I have all the sketches through 208 all together now for quick card ideas! How easy is that?

Pretty Purse

What a beautiful day to be crafting! This is a "Carousel Note Purse" that I found on SCS by Jan Tink. The directions can be found on her blog. It is really clever how it is made! I made a few variations from her original directions because I didn't have all the supplies but it worked out great. It is made with 2 envelopes! The pockets hold extra notes for you to decorate however you please. The flaps of the envelope are in the center and covered with DP. You can have so much fun embellishing it! I had so much fun making this!
