Thinking of you

I started working on my quilt today so didn't get to spend much time in my craft room. We are so tired of having a bed covering that is too short on the sides. SO...I decided it was time to fix that problem. I have usually made my bed coverings in the past but lately haven't had the desire to do it! Well, when everything you buy in the store is too little and falls apart after a few months...it's time to get out the ole sewing machine again! There was a time when I sewed 3 or 4 hours a day - everyday. Now my machine is in a closet and rarely sees the sunshine! I guess my paper crafting has taken over - plus my daughter is 6 feet tall so doesn't really enjoy hand made clothes anymore. So...on to my crafting...this is a card made using the new Just Rite stamps. I forgot to buy the base mount so just got out my clear mounting block and ran a piece of tape across it and the rubber stuck!!! I colored the image with Copics and then did some distressing around it. The sentiment is by Imaginations. The papers are Indian Summer by DCWV. The corners are punches by SU. Hope you have a great day!

Red White and Blue Thank You

This is a very simple card! Those are always nice to do once in awhile! The floral stamp is by Close to my Heart. The sentiment is stamped in Versa Mark and then embossed with Denim Zing. The papers are by SU. The center of the flower is also stamped and then cut out and popped up with dimensionals. The flower is also popped up with dimensionals on the navy ribbon. Have a great Labor Day weekend and stay safe!

Girl's Night Out!

Wow! 2 posts in one day! I just couldn't resist trying out this stamp - another by My Sentiments Exactly! I stamped it and then cut it out and backed it with red cardstock. I used a SU punch and punched a flower to doll it up a bit. Then there is a glitzy rhinestone for the center of the flower! The DP is from "Pretty Poppies" collection that I have used many times and just love! The black edging is a punch. Is this just too cute!!!

Merry Christmas Tree

Another stamp from My Sentiments Exactly is used for this Christmas card. I used a black ink but when I put it on the textured linen paper, it almost appears as grey which is perfect for this card. I cut out the image and mounted it on red paper. The DP is from "The Magic of the Season" holiday stack of paper from Hobby Lobby. This stamp is perfect for this paper since it is quite busy. I got a bunch of fabric in the mail today so it looks like I will have to be splitting my crafting time between making a quilt and paper crafting! This could be tough!!! Have a great day and I hope to see you tomorrow!

Merry Christmas Card

This is a simple card I made this morning with some new stamps I received from My Sentiments Exactly which can be found here. I got a package of 78 sentiments and a few images for $19.99. They are all fabulous and I'm sure I will be using all of them! It's a great deal if you are always wanting to stamp the insides of your cards with something different. The square is a stamp and I cut the image 2 times and then used dimensionals under the gift in the center to make it stand out. The cream border is made with Nesties that I cut out with 2 sizes. The papers are from a Vintage Christmas paper pad from Hobby Lobby. Quick and easy card!

Snowman Shutter Card

I saw this "shutter" design on SCS several weeks ago and everyone seemed to love making them so I started one at that time. Well, it has taken me that long to finish this!!! I was so tired of seeing the base of it sitting on my desk that I decided yesterday that I would make a point to try and finish it. Wow! It was a challenge for me! Maybe my selection of papers just didn't work for it. Even though they co-ordinated, they just didn't give me any great embellishing opportunities. I don't know...but it is done...and I'm glad it is over!!! I must say I enjoyed making my 3D Halloween card that I posted several days ago MUCH BETTER!!! It came together in a heartbeat! This did not! ANYWAYS... the papers are by My Mind's Eye and Bazzill. The ribbons are designed to go with the paper too! The snowflakes are punches and Silouette diecuts. I used my circle punch to make the snowman. I tried to match him (HER) to the snowman paper! I cut out additional xmas trees from the DP and popped them up on the DP. I added a few snowball bling here and there! So that is it! Have a great day!

A Bouquet of flowers

It was really hard doing my weekly cleaning today! I have so many new goodies I wanted to play with but knew I had to get some chores done before I started. Boy was that hard to do!!! But, I FINALLY managed to get a little bit of time in my craft room and this is one of the cards I made. It is a bouquet of flowers using Flower Soft! I have had the Flower Soft since this summer and have done a few cards with it but I found these new papers to go with it so thought I would try them. The square lacey paper is by Flower Soft. I also got a package of the tee tiny silver trim that is around the edges of the square. The silver metallic paper really sets the design off in real life. The lacy paper holder that the flowers are inside of is also by Flower Soft. They have lots of new stuff out now! My sentiment is a little crooked and that's another reason I'm not a big fan of clear stamps. I tried hard to get it straight too!!! You don't have that problem with red rubber. But EVERYONE seems to be going to clear stamps now so sometimes you just don't have a choice. Oh, the sentiment is by CTMH. Come back tomorrow for more goodies!!!
