Vintage Thanksgiving Card

I hope you are having a great weekend! I am sneaking in another Thanksgiving card I just made. I got the image from a pad of seasonal images by Crafty Secrets. I just love them! So, this was a simple card. The background paper was embossed with a SU embossing plate that my friend gave me. I think it's going to become a favorite of mine! It can be used for so many different occasions. The papers are SU and Bazzill. The ribbon is SU. I have another Thanksgiving card to post tomorrow so come back and visit!

Masculine Birthday Card

This was a tough card to dream up! My brother-in-law's birthday is coming up real quick and I needed something sports related for him. I ALWAYS have a tough time with men's cards but this one came together rather nicely for a change. I had several single sports ball stamps and stamped each of them and then just colored the images with my Copics. I then cut them out and mounted them on some distressed paper. The balls are stamps by Stampabilities. The sentiments are all one stamp that I have cut apart and popped up with dimensionals. It is a Great Impressions stamp and is perfect for him! The papers are all by SU. I hope he likes it! Have an awesome day!

O christmas Tree

This is a Christmas card that I may make in quantity for friends. It has lots of possiblilities with it and this is just one option. One tree is stamped directly onto the paper and the other is stamped and cut out and then popped up with dimensionals. The stamps are by Papertrey Ink. There are three coordinating ribbons to match. Christmas Wishes

This is a simple card made with a Sizzix die cut. The image was cut once with the green snowflake paper and then with the gold metallic paper. I cut apart the package and put the green on the gold paper. I then stamped my sentiment by Papertreyink.com and cut it out with an oval punch by SU. The flower was attached on top. This may become one of my cards I do in quantity for orders. Very festive card!

Another Turkey Card!

Well, this is turkey card #3! I must say that it looks so much better in person. This is a SU stamp and is also colored with Marvy markers. The outside oval is a Just Rite stamp. They are both distressed with Ranger inks. The DP's are by K & Company. The corners are done with SU punches. Back to Christmas cards tomorrow!!! Have a great day!

Thanksgiving Turkey Cards

My dear friend Leslie brought me a turkey stamp by SU on her recent visit. I didn't have a turkey so was very excited to get it. I made 3 different cards with the same design (one more to come later). I used my Marvy markers to color the stamp so I could get various colors without messing up my ink pads. It worked well. They are all cut out with Spellbinder's ovals and then the outer ovals are Just Rite stamps. I distressed everything to give it more of a vintage look to go with my papers. I even distressed the burgundy and white ribbon to make the white more aged looking. It worked well. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and SU. The brads on the first card are by Home Pro. I really like how they turned out! I think this will end up being a favorite Thanksgiving stamp!!! Have a great day!

Class Cards

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did!!! I've been MIA for several days so will make up for it by posting 4 cards from a class I took this weekend with a dear friend! We had such a wonderful time together - much like 2 little kids in a candy store!!! These are some cards that were made on World Card Day on Saturday. I did not design any of them . Kim Hughes is the designer for the first one and also the teacher for our class. She was outstanding! She has many cards published in many magazines so it was a joy to meet her! I adore the snowman card she designed. I was the lucky winner of this card!!! I don't have a recipe for it but thought you would enjoy seeing her work and creativity. The other cards were cards I made in class. I have some info on them but they are mostly for your enjoyment and ideas. The candy cane card is made using mostly American Crafts papers. The Love Ya Lots card has papers by October Afternoon and is designed by Angie Hagist. The other card , "for my best friend" has papers by Cosmo Cricket. These are all beautiful cards and were fun to do. I won a big set of stamps by Kim Hughes when she designed for Cornish Heritage Farms. I even got her to autograph the set!!!
