More thank you cards

This is the second set of cards I made for my daughter-in-law. Again, they were quick and easy. I used the same Just Rite monogram stamp and a few scraps of paper I had in my stash. I just picked out 4 pink scraps that went well together and came up with something that didn't use too much paper so that I could made a set of 16 cards with 4 of each design. It worked. I'm not sure how many she will need but I'm thinking it may be more than 16 so I will come up with a few more later. Have a great week!

Thank you cards

Here are a few monogram cards I made today rather quickly. My daughter-in-law will be having a bridal shower in a few weeks so I thought I would make them for her. They eloped back in Dec so are planning a "blessing of the marriage" soon. These cards were made with Just Rite monogram stamps and then just mounted on various scraps of paper. I think they will be nice for her to use for her thank-you cards. I will have a few more co-ordinating designs tomorrow. Have a great week!

Quick and easy card!

I have a funny story today. My hubby and I were making a quick trip to the mall to get his phone fixed. Well, there are always kiosks in the centers of the malls with annoying people trying to pull you aside to sell you something. I usually ignore them and zip right past. It didn't work this particular time. The guy had some hand lotion that he insisted that I try. Ok, I tried it. As I was trying to get away he said "you have natural fingernails!". I said, "yes, and I plan to keep it that way!" He was so shocked that somebody actually had natural nails!!! I have never had any interest in the fake nails and I am too busy doing crafts, gardening, cooking and just have no desire to keep my nails beautiful! I guess I am in the minority but I thought it was so funny! It was almost like he had never seen them before!

SO....here is a quick card I did today. The light color is actually the Kraft khaki cardstock but it looks rather white in the picture. Guess I need to brush up on my photography skills! The blue is a Quik Kutz embossing folder. The rest is a Spellbinder's heart pendant that I have just cut in several colors. The center is a cute button from my stash. The hearts at the corners are the inside cut-outs from the pendant template.

Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July. It's my first with my hubby in over 10 years so that will be nice. We are having an awesome church service in the morning and I will probably cook the rest of the day! I usually just watch the Boston Pops on tv and we will probably do that this year as it will be too hot to go watch fireworks! Have a fun day!

Hydrangea Card

This card was made by coloring the actual rubber stamp with Marvy markers. I used several shades of blue and green. It always amazes me how beautiful it turns out! It's a Dee Gruenig stamp. I have so many of her stamps and love them all because they are so easy to use and it looks like you spent a lot of time coloring the image! Nobody will ever know!!! The white lacy border is a punch. I used 2 different ribbons. The papers are scraps! Hope you have a cool crafty day!

A card for me

I have so many scraps of wedding related papers that I decided to do a card for me to use as a Thank You to some of my helpers at the wedding. So, this is a scrappy card!!! The ivory medallion is actually made with a Martha Stewart punch that has been trimmed a bit and then I put 4 of them together. The black frame is by Just Rite Stamps, as well as the "S" for Sherry! The inside had to have an ivory insert so I just stamped the top with a clear stamp. I can now write a note inside and it won't get lost on the black paper! OK...so this is a hint of the wedding things to come!!! I think you'll have to wait for the rest!!!! Have a fun day of crafting!

I have been blogging for about 1 1/2 years. My main goal was to share my love of crafting with others who also have the addiction!!! It has been so much fun and I must say that is has motivated me to try to craft and blog on a regular basis. I know I have not been as dedicated lately but it doesn't mean I have stopped crafting. I have TONS and TONS of projects coming up that you will be bombarded with in October!!! I wanted to share them after the wedding! Many of these projects have created challenges - like today - and take time to figure out alternative designs! That is time consuming and can also be frustrating but it always works out in the end. I hope I can come up with a solution for my latest challenge!!!
So, thanks Mary and all my followers for hanging in there with me! I truly appreciate your dedication and support and wish you many days of happy crafting ahead!

Stamp Tapestry

This was a quick and easy card! Those are always nice to do once in awhile! The top part of the card is embossed with a folder. The bottom part is stamped with tiny peg stamps by Stamp Tapestry. They are so fun to use and everything always turns out pretty. I used a punch for the edging. The inside of the card has a pink scalloped dotted swiss Bazzil paper to highlight the front of the card!
