Bloomin' Monkey

Isn't this the cutest guy! The stamp is by CC Designs and is called Flower Power! The background paper was created with several Cosmo Cricket DP's that I have cut into 2 inch strips. I then put them on a red cardstock diagonally with just a tiny space between the strips. I cut an eyelet lace strip from one of my border punches and put this on top of the gold dots print. The sentiment is by SU.

We have finally gotten a few DROPS of rain for the first time in over 3 months so this sure brightened my day. Dreary humid days just aren't for me so it's a good thing I live in Arizona where they are few and far between!!!

Christmas in July!

I have been wanting to do a Christmas card ever since I got this new set from Waltzingmouse Stamps!!! Crazy isn't it! Well, I stamped the image two times, once in red and once in green. I cut out the green center portion and popped it up. The red part is cut out with a circular nestie. And then there are a few more scallopped nesties behind that. The top and bottom of the ornament are part of an oval punch. Pretty clever ornament! The DP is by SU. So, now I have done my Christmas in July card! Have a great Friday!

SC290 Just buzzin'by...

Wow! 2 posts in one day! That's amazing! I saw the sketch on SCS and couldn't resist trying it. I found this Graphic 45 paper in my stash and it just screamed bumble bees and I knew I had a few so this is what I came up with. The bees were colored with Copics and then I added a bit of glitz to them which is hard to see. Pretty simple card! See you tomorrow!

Western Birthday Card!

This was such a fun card to make! I got these new Waltzingmouse stamps and couldn't wait to try them out. The rope design inside of the Nestie is a stamp they made to specifically fit the Vintage Label 3 Nesties. They have many designs that fit several different Nesties. I added a circle birthday stamp in the center by Denami Designs. The western scarf and star are both stamps by Dee Gruenig. The scarf was colored with various colors of Marvy markers and then stamped and cut out. The papers are by SU. I had some twine that I just cut various lengths and added under the popped up Nestie. This was a rather fun MALE card to make!!! Have a great day!

Wedding Keepsake Book

This is one of my most favorite projects that I did for the wedding. It's just beautiful. I used my bind-it-all to pull it all together. I used my Home pro to finish the corners. There are pages for the guest registry at the wedding. There are pages for recording shower and wedding gifts. There are pages for the outfits worn by all in the party. It's just a really fun book with a place for everthing.
This is one set of pages to tell the story of her engagement and maybe add a few pictures.
This is to record information about their rings. The next page is to record all the names of the wedding party.
This is for the wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses. There is room for photos.

The book is and 8 x 8 square. It has pockets for keepsakes and lined pages for registries. I have lots more photos of some of the pages but will not post them. Wedding Crafts

These are the thank-you cards I did for wedding gifts. I cased this from Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace. She does absolutely awesome work.
This is the ring-bearer's pillow I made.
This is the ringbearer's vest and tie that I made to go along with the bridesmaid's dresses. The flower girl dress did not get made yet but it would have had a teal sash on a beautiful ivory dress.
Here are a few grandpa's boutonnieres.
These are some thank you cards I altered! I found the teal cards at Michael's and just added a stamped image and a nestie to dress it up a bit.

OK...tomorrow will be my last day of wedding postings. Time to move on. As you can see I spent countless hours working on this stuff. I've learned a lot. My advice to mother-of-the-brides...make the bride pay for all the deposits and when the wedding is over...you can reimburse her. If she cancels, she is out the money - not you! She is not as likely to cancel a wedding if HER money is at stake! Wedding vendors do not give deposits back!!!

A few corsages for bridal luncheon all handmade - even the flowers!
These are a few candleholders that I had on hand and just added a few decorations to them to be used at one of the dinner parties at our house.
This is the card cage for the reception decorated with flowers and butterflies.
This is a basket of hershey kisses that are in the teal color with their names and dates on the bottom of each. I decorated the heart shaped basket in her colors.
This is a topiary tree that was to be used for the bridal luncheon. It is made with tons and tons of flower punches.Three different sizes of punches make up each individual flower. They are applied with pearl corsage pins. The picture does not do these justice. They are really pretty!

Wedding thank you cards

Here is a set of thank you cards I made that are postcard style. They do not open up. I just stamped a butterfly on the cardstock and mounted on teal paper.
These were made with beautiful damask papers. I made the monogram with Just Rite stamps.
Another monogram card with Just Rite stamps. The teal border is a punch.
These are the place cards for the reception dinner. The larger one is the table number. The butterfly on each card is a small punch.

More fun stuff!

These are some of the corsages I made for the mothers and grandmothers for the wedding ceremony. I have 2 tupperware shoe boxes FULL of flowers I made for various events!!! I will post more later!
This was just a fun box I made to put photos in. The center opening could have their names and wedding date on them but I never did that part yet!
These are the garters I made. The top one is to throw and the bottom one is for her to keep. The teal flash is a butterfly. I forgot to turn off my flash on this photo!
I wish this was a better photo. It's a wreath for the flower girl to wear. It's so pretty. It sits on top of a HUGE champagne glass that would be the centerpieces for the tables. There is a teal ribbon around the base. I planned to put black marbles in the bottom a few inches deep. Then I would put a GORGEOUS teal rose in the glass and fill with water. There would be 5 black floating candles at the top. I was debating about putting a butterfly on the glass.
This is the flower girl basket made entirely from scratch. I made the base from heavy duty plastic like many of our stamps come in. I used lots of hot glue! It is covered in ivory satin and then a beautiful piece of lace around the base of the basket. I edged it with a rosebud trim. So pretty and fun to make!

You would think this would be it. I tell you...there is lots and lots more to come!

Lots of fun stuff!

Howdy Howdy!!! Here are several more things I made for my daughter's wedding. The first picture is some of the SU boxes that I just played around with and was going to put in Hotel gift bags. They are filled with decorated nuggets.
This is the not I would have attached to the Hotel gift bags. I printed these on the computer and then just mounted them on teal cardstock. The butterfly is a punch.
This is an invitation to a BBQ at my house for the out-of-town guests on Friday night. I embossed the apron. Pretty simple project!
Looks like I forgot to edit this picture...the lighting is bad...oh well. These are things for the bridal luncheon. The purse is made using a Sizzix die cut and black velvet embossed paper. I beaded each handle. Teal ribbons weave through the front and back of the purse and tie on the ends. The invitation is made with a floral ivory background and the wording is printed on it. I stamped, colored and cut out each dress to put on the invitations. The placecards were made with the velvet cardstock. The black border is a punch.
This is a close up of the purse. I used velcro to close it and put a puchased flower on the outside.

Wedding Stuff

I am deeply saddened to report that my daughter has decided to elope. I'm sure as crafters, that you know how much time, talent and love went into making each and every part of the wedding creations I have been telling you about for the past several months. The financial loss is tremendous as well as all the time spent trying to make her day very special. Needless to say, I have tons of beautiful wedding creations that I am pretty much stuck with. If you know of anyone who will be getting married and would be interested in purchasing some of the items I have made...pass along my info to them. We also have a beautiful wedding dress in a size 6. I can send pictures of that if you are interested.

So, today I will share a few of the items I have made. I will try to combine several photos on one posting so that I won't be posting these things forever!

The first photo is our "Save the Date" card. I printed everything on the computer and then stamped the butterfly afterwards. The ivory papers have a pearlized sheen to them - gorgeous stuff! The second photo is the wedding invitation closed and tied. The folders were purchased at Papers and More (online) and their service and shipping was outstanding!!! The edging is a Martha Stewart border punch. I used 2 different designs which is why you see two different ones in the photos. Again, it was all printed on the computer and then cut to fit the pockets. The pictures do not show the true beauty of these!

Bridal shower card

This is a bridal shower card for my daughter-in-law. They eloped this past December and have been very busy with his new career as a Navy Pilot. There really is no time for a wedding so they are having a shower and will have a "Blessing of the Marriage" after their next move. So, this is a card I made for her. The heart was heat embossed with the lavender embossing powder. I just cut a black tux to go over the heart and added a few black pearls and a bow tie. The ribbon is silk ribbon. The background is an embossing folder. Hope you like it! Have a great weekend!

Altered cards

I'm still working on thank-you cards! It's so much fun to work on a specific project for someone. I bought these plain cards in the $1 bin at Michael's quite awhile ago. I decided to add a little something to them so I stamped a "thank you" and then punched it out. I added a few red punches to highlight it and TA DA...I'm done! I did stamp a flourish on the inside and also one on the envelopes to tie everything together. They are all bagged up and ready to go!
