Just flying by

Here is a birthday card I made for my son.  He is a pilot so I am always looking for fun stamps for pilots.  This is by Inky Antics.  The pennants are by Spellbinders. I stamped the propeller twice so I could pop it out to look like it was in motion.  I'm sure Brandon will tell me that airplanes don't have 2 propellers like this! The papers are from my scrap stash which I am slowly working to reduce - just have too much stuff!
We had another blizzard here yesterday that they didn't seem to think would amount to much.  Well, we must have gotten at least 8 or 10 inches of snow with lots and lots of heavy wind.  It was a white- out much of the day and night.  You could not see 12 inches in front of you!  I guess since the Springs didn't get much (or any) then they figured we didn't either up here in Black Forest.  The snow plows have not been around today either!  My 2 wheel drive car had a bit of problems getting through our neighborhood because of the deep snow in places.  Once I got to the main roads...the roads were bare.  Usually the snow plows are out within hours of a storm up here...not with this last snow.  We have some REALLY STEEP hills that are very dangerous without sand or plowing.  Oh well...we got some much needed moisture so that is what is important!

Today I have an Easter card to share that I started over a week ago.  Got to spend lots of time in my craft room yesterday...finishing up things and getting some bday cards done.  This is a stamp from Lili of the Valley in England.  They have some of the cutest stamps and shipping for stamps is FREE!!! YES...FREE!!!  I wish I could have their whole collection - love 'em!  The papers here are also from there - just gorgeous!  I think the shipping was about $5 for a pad of 8 x 8  papers - 40 sheets.  I didn't think that was bad at all considering it would be more in the US of A for most places!  OK>>>>the circular die is by Spellbinders and so is the paper ribbon.  They are from Becca's collection.  The sentiment is a very old stamp by Paper Salon. The flowers actually do match in real life and they are from Michael's $1.50 bin (guess they don't have the $1 bins anymore!).
Hope you have a fun day of crafting!  We are expecting more snow today so maybe I can slip back up here for a few moments of ME TIME!!!

I'm back with ANOTHER sympathy card to share.  I have done more this year than I have done in the past 5 years!  Guess that means I'm getting old!  So this is for my daughter-in-law who just lost her grandpa.  I wanted to do so something a little special for her.  Lots of dies here - from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken.  The flower is stamped and cut with a die by Hero Arts.  I added a few pearl sprays, a bow, stick pin and glitzy button.  Hope she likes it!
I had thought I would get the time to start cleaning up my craft room after xmas.  Well, then V-day came along, and then tons of bdays.  I don't think there is much hope for it!  Got lots and lots of bdays in March and a few bday projects to get done in the next few weeks as well.  Where there is a will....there is a way!  Have a great day!

A Westie Valentine

I'm a little late getting this posted but better late than never!  I've had my little Aubree here for the past several days so my time has been with her.  So, this is my valentine this year.  I didn't have time to concentrate on making many many different ones so I just came up with one and varied the papers on it.  And what couldn't be more appropriate for a Valentine's card....a sweet Westie!  My good friend filled me in on the Westie look!  You have to put a few dabs of acrylic paint on the diecut and then just run a comb through it!  Yes, a hair comb!  Who would have thought!!!  I can't say mine is as beautiful as the one she made for me, but I love it just the same!  The hearts at the top of the card are a die and the ones at the bottom are a punch.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is a Valentine I made for a dear friend.  It is made with a flocked paper that I have had in my stash for many years.  I used several Spellbinders dies for the shapes and popped them all up with dimensional tape.  The card base is a pale pink cardstock.  Simple, yet elegant.
Hope you have a great weekend!  We are going to see our sweet little granddaughter this weekend so that will be fun!  If you're in the blizzard zone...blow some of that white stuff towards Colorado!!!  It has been so dry here this winter...we could use some moisture here!

Baby card

Quick post today...Here is a baby card I made using Becca's Spellbinders dies.  I added a few satin roses purchased from the $1.50 bins at Michael's. The stamp is by SU.  The papers are scraps from my rather large stash!!!
Hope you have a crafty day!

Baby favors

Today I have some baby favors to share with you.  These are so adorable and quick and easy and that is what I really like when time is short!  The flowers are cut from Spellbinders dies in 2 sizes.  The smaller size has a circle punched out of the center of it so that the candy cup will fit through it.  I had some valentine candies which were perfect for a little girl and also the floral papers.  I added a bow and flower to the top of each flower.  On the backs I have the information on Aubree that I have punched out with a SU punch for the center of the flower.  These look like little flower hats!!!
The second photo is a smocked jumpsuit I have been working on for several months!  I added a little headband to go with it.  Someday I will post a photo of Aubree in it but she needs to do a little growing first!  Hope you have a fun day!

Aubree Giselle is here!

I'm back after another break from my blog.  I have made a trip to Florida and then back again to Denver to be with my new granddaughter.  Yep, she came while I was on my way to the airport to get back to Denver.  She is one gorgeous little girl too!  Can't wait to get back up there to see her again.  It will probably be this week since I am working on baby favors for them.  I will post those in the next few days - hopefully!  I have so much to do this week!  Hope you have a great week!
