You're the best

Another Memory Box card with lots of dies.  The flourish and jar are Memory Box dies.  The frame is Spellbinders.  The sentiment is Taylored Expressions.  The papers are First Edition Papers.  I added a few pearls to jazz it up a bit.  The papers have lots of glitz on them but I don't think it is visible in the picture.
And here are the photos of my Kaila baby after her first haircut!  We had a storm come through last night that really cooled things down so I had to put on her flannel shirt this morning since she didn't have anymore hair on her body to keep her warm!  What a cutie!!!

Merry Christmas

I'm back with another Christmas card!  Memory Box just came out with a bunch of new dies and I couldn't wait to get my inky hands on them!  Our local shop just got them this weekend so I hopped on over.  This is 2 die cuts.  The base is cut in metallic gold cardstock.  The top is SU cardstock that has pearls added.  The background is a Sizzix embossing folder with ornaments on it.
I took my sweet little puppy to get her first haircut today.  OH....she is adorable.  Looks like a Westie now! I will try to get a photo of her when she gets up from her nap.
Have a great week!  August is coming quickly!!!

Christmas is coming...

It will be here before we know it!!!  Today I have a stocking I made from a Sizzix die and embossing folder set.  Pretty simple!  I distressed the ivory cuff and added a bow and a tiny red jingle bell.  Not sure yet how I will use this - maybe for tags or maybe on a card as an ornament ( would need to add a hanger).
I have lots of projects coming up in the next several months.  I am going to be a Grandma in January or February so I'll have lots of baby things to work on to welcome the new little one!  I'm still working on things for my new puppy too!  Just finished a few blankets for her.  Too cute!!!  I bought her a wardrobe of clothes for the winter too.  Westies just got to have clothes - especially in the winter!  My last Westie LOVED LOVED LOVED to dress up!  So, hopefully, in time, Kaila will too!  She has a snowsuit, a few sweaters, a few pairs of pajamas, a few shirts, a hooded coat, boots, and several coordinating collars and leashes that I made for her.  She thinks she is hot stuff too!!!
Hope you have a crafty weekend!

Summer Sweets

Here is another card for todays challenge over on SCS.  This is a technique challenge where we had to make our own ruching or ruffling.  So, with the help of my favorite 3 in 1 glue and some bakers twine...I came up with this card using SU stamps.  Again, the berries are popped up with dimensionals.  The papers are October Afternoon.  I think I'll go get me some strawberries for snack!  Have a fun day!

Friendship

Here is a card with probably my most favorite colors!  I love purple and limey green!  This is a SU stamp set and I stamped the flower twice in both green and purple and then just cut out the purple flower and popped it up for added dimension.  There are MS and SU punches and the rectangular Spellbinders diecut.  The papers are by Basicgrey and the cardstock is SU.
It's a busy day for me...got a long list of issues to resolve.  If it's not one thing, it's another.  Nothing is ever easy.  Hope your week goes well and you have time to enjoy your crafting!

A note card

I'm back with a note card!  This is a SU stamp that I have colored with Marvy markers.  I added a Spellbinders teacup to use as my pot.  A few pearls jazz it up a bit!  I can always add a small sentiment to this card if my need changes but for now it is a note card!  The DP is also by SU.
What a horrible summer it has been for the state of Colorado!  If it's not wild fires, it's a crazy sicko on the loose.  It just makes no sense to me.  My prayers go out to all the families who lost loved ones to this horrific event.
Enjoy your week!

It's time to celebrate

Today I have an anniversary card to share.  The front has several Spellbinders dies used.  The seed image is by Stampendous (I think!).  I colored it a bit with Copics.  The DP is from my scrap stash as well as the lace.  The inside is also Spellbinders dies.  I typed the sentiment on the computer and printed it.
Hope you have a great weekend.!

Today I really wanted to do the Teapot Challenge on SCS.  These ladies did lots of cards for my sister-in-law a few weeks ago and I found it to be a great deal of fun for making cards for special needs people.  This card goes to a special teenage girl that loves giraffes.  Details can be found on SCS Teapot Challenge for today.  It's a heart wrenching story.
The giraffe was cut with my Silhouette.  They have changed the program since I used it so it took forever to get things to work for me.  But, it was worth it.  Love how it turned out.  Papers are mostly scraps and ages old but perfect for this cutie.
My time is up...got to run...have a great day!

Thinking of you

Today I have a card with Gina K Designs stamps.  I colored the actual flowers on the stamp with Marvy markers and added pearls to the centers.  The top lacy design is by Memory Box.  The papers are older SU papers that I love.
I think I finally have my Kaila puppy potty trained.  The secret is making homemade treats for her!!!  This puppy LOVES them and will run to the door to go potty just so she can get a treat.  Heck with the store bought ones - those aren't as good!  They are so easy to make and grain free which is the direction I am going with her since Westies have allergy issues.  They are made with ground chicken, sweet potatoes, garlic, oatmeal and an egg.  They bake up like crackers.  If that gets her to go potty outside....I will glady make them for her anytime!  She has really been pretty darn good with her training - I must say.  She can already sit, roll over, stay, come and go potty!  Not too shabby for a 3 1/2 month old!  Oh, and she rings a bell to go potty!!!  (well, sometimes it is more like ATTACKING the bell!)  She is too funny!  Westies are the best!

Thinking of you

Wow...2 cards in one day!  I saw the colors on the Color Challenge for today and couldn't resist making a quick card for that.  This is a Sizzix embossing folder - all dolled up!  I cut up 2 Spellbinders ovals and popped them up for the sentiment and Memory Box flowers.  The leaves are punches.  So easy!  Thanks for dropping by!

Another Navy Card!

It's funny how I get stuck on certain colors for awhile!  Well, I promise I won't do another navy card in my next posting!  This is a new stamp set for me by Our Daily Bread Designs and I love it.  There are lots of "tea" sentiments to go inside the lacy medallion.  The papers are K & Co. (once again!).    The large rectangular die cut is by Spellbinders.  Have you seen all the new holiday ones that are coming out?  OMG...love them all!  I'm thinking about my holiday cards because I know my time is very limited at crafting so I have to do a few when I can.  Puppy nap time is MY time!  Thank heavens for kennel training!  I would be hurting without it.  I never thought I would survive it after one day of kennel training.  But, the next day was perfect and there were no temper tantrums anymore.  She loves her kennel.  I just use it for napping so the rest of the time she is chasing me all over the house.  She grew up with 5 brothers and sisters so she is not real good at entertaining herself.  And it doesn't help that I spoil her a bit too.  Makes my life tougher but she is worth it!  OK...have a fun day!

Bloom

Today I have another "bloom" card to share.  This is a Memory Box stamp that I have stamped twice and then cut one image with a floral die by Spellbinders.  I put liquid pearl on the centers of the flowers.  The punched edge on the striped paper is by MS.  This is actually a navy cardstock and navy ink!  I'm on  a navy kick lately!!!
We are having another rainy day today.  As much as I hate these days...I love it because I know this city is desperate for some good rain showers to soak all the parched land around here.  I have never seen it look so brown in the summer here in Colorado.  Hope things will turn around quickly.  Have a great day!

Teacup Card

Today I made a teacup card using lots of Spellbinders dies.  The flowers were cut with a Memory Box die.  The sentiment was cut with SU punches.  The border punch is Fiskars.  The papers are old K & Co. papers from a big pad.  It's one pad of paper that I have really really enjoyed using!  The sentiment is by Our Daily Bread Designs.  Such a fun card to make!
Today is a much cooler day here in Colorado - just the way I like it and we are finally getting back to more normal temps around here.  I know it's been a hot summer for much of the US.  I hope that is about to change for everyone!

Birthday wishes

Today I have a birthday card to share that was quite fun to make.  Lots of diecuts here!  The Rose Wreath stamp and diecut is by Memory Box as well as the fence.  I love their dies and stamps so much as you can tell from most of my recent cards!  I colored the stamp with Marvy Markers before stamping so it was an  easy stamping.  The DP is by SU.  You might notice that my fence has little TINY rhinestones on the posts!  And yes, that did drive me crazy but I had to do it!  Hope they survive the mailing!
The fires have calmed down here in Colorado Springs which is such a relief.  The west side of the city took a beating but everyone has pulled together and the city will rebuild!
Hope you have a fun weekend!  I will be playing with my puppy most of it so not much stamping - unless I can get her to take a few good long naps!
Happy crafting!

It has been a long time since I have posted!  I honestly have not been in my craft room except to do 50 quick and easy cards for the Firefighters, Red Cross and Care and Share people for their dedication to our wildfires that have haunted us for the past week.  I think we are finally seeing an end to all this and I hope the summer rains are coming very soon!  I was lucky not to have to evacuate but 32,000 other people were not.
These cards were very simple...just a few easy stamps and various masculine looking  DP's from my stash.  The inside has a perfect sentiment and some forest trees so I was very pleased with how they turned out for QUICK cards.
My little Kaila keeps me way too busy.  It's just like having a new baby in the house.  I guess I am just too dedicated to her and working hard on training her before winter sets in.  I would rather work really hard for several months and have a good dog than to blow it off and have a trouble maker.  It's an awful lot of work and very tiring but hopefully it will pay off.  She is really a sweetie but can also be a little red devil when she wants to be.  I wear lots of capri pants in the summer and it seems that most of them have ties at the bottom.  Well, she thinks they are for her and will hardly let me walk.  That drives me crazy more than anything!  Then when I don't have ties on the bottom, she still jumps up and expects to find them.  So, it just doesn't matter if I have them or not.  She is learning "DOWN" now!  We'll see how that goes!  She could get pretty fat on that command cause she ALWAYS jumps at my pants!
Happy 4th of July (as I write this!)!
